Johnny Shearer Posted 11 May, 2010 Share Posted 11 May, 2010 http://millionmania.titanbet.com/ Anyone else seen the adverts for this over the last couple of days? Thats a massive prize for correctly guessing all 64 World Cup scores. I wonder what the actual odds are on doing it. However have seen on the website, if there is no winner closest person wins $1m dollars but this can get divided if more than one person comes second closest! Well assuming that you figured in all the possible results up to 3 - 3, I think it is something like 10 to the power 64 : 1 or 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 to

Tractor_Saint Posted 11 May, 2010 Share Posted 11 May, 2010 Except football isn't random like the lottery. Depends on if you're talking about 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 ,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 to 1 or whether you are talking about the odds that, from kick off, a ball will be out for a throw in within 60 seconds

dune Posted 13 May, 2010 Share Posted 13 May, 2010 This looks about as probable as kicking a football from the centre spot into the boot of a vw golf parked by the corner flag.

Sounds like there is a chance then! Will give it a go, would love it if someone does win it though as i'm sure the promoters think it'll never happen. chrisobee Posted 14 May, 2010 Share Posted 14 May, 2010 My info which is very reliable is : "Here is the no brainer question of the week. Would you enter a competition to win up to $100,000,000 and get an instant free fiver for doing so? Yes it is our latest bet72 bookmaker, Titanbet. Not only are they offering the biggest prize on the planet for the up and coming World Cup with their prediction competition but all UK residents will get £5 just for entering over this weekend. Once you have made your predictions just contact customer services at support@titanbet.com or call them on 0800 327 7261 to get the free fiver credited to your newly created account. What is more once you have that account you can then take advantage of their massive £250 free bet bonus for all new depositing players too. The bonus needs to wagered over 15x before it becomes withdrawable so this will take a little time to tick over but you can withdraw any winnings as you go along and also remember every time you strike a losing bet all the cash from that ends up in your betting exchange account." Now I'm no expert on betting so this is pure speculation, but I did wonder, just for a moment, whether Titanbet might possibly believe that theres something in this for themselves:confused: I mean, apart from the obviously generous altruism they are displaying

Plenty of good publicity anyway and probably more cost effective than TV, magazine, Internet ads etc;
