Jillyanne Posted 11 May, 2010 Posted 11 May, 2010 May I direct concerned holiday makers to http://www.pocruises.com , http://www.cunard.co.uk , and http://www.princess.com ? * Quite why anyone would want to spend 3 hours getting through customs @ LHR or LGW is beyond me, particularly if they happen to live in Southampton and there are boats heading off to the sun most days of the week. Go on one of the bigger newer ships and you won't even be surrounded by the blue rinse brigade... *other cruise lines also sail from Southampton, apparantly Ships not boats ffs. We are booked on a cruise in July on Ventura for a week. As for why people spend 3 hours getting through customs etc - cruises are not cheap!

Go on one of the bigger newer ships and you won't even be surrounded by the blue rinse brigade... *other cruise lines also sail from Southampton, apparantly In 30 years of flying I don't think it has ever taken me anywhere close to 3 hours to get through customs at LHR or LGW. And if you want to compare with Southampton; I've previously turned up 30 minutes prior to a European flight and had no bother checking in and getting the (on-time) flight.
mdearlove Posted 11 May, 2010 Posted 11 May, 2010 Hope the England team are not flying to South Africa on BA... No - They are flying Virgin Atlantic. Good coup for them to displace BA as the official airline
Whitey Grandad Posted 11 May, 2010 Posted 11 May, 2010 Ships not boats ffs. We are booked on a cruise in July on Ventura for a week. As for why people spend 3 hours getting through customs etc - cruises are not cheap! Try arriving back at Stansted on Sunday evening. It once took 3 hours from touchdown to get to the carpark. Our luggage had been on the carousel so long that our flight details had disappeared from the screens. Never again.
Gemmel Posted 11 May, 2010 Posted 11 May, 2010 We all live within our means so how is someone expected to cope if their income vs outgoings ratio is altered unfavourably? . Companies have to live within their means (Legally), so how are they expected to cope if their income vs outgoings ratio is altered unfavourably
