The song is factually incorrect anyway, according to the player profles on the official site his is only 6ft 2. As usual a shocking lack of attention to detail.
The words are nearly 6ft 3. So you are wrong.

He reckons right. It is *nearly*.

As for away games, well at some of the ones I've been to (Bristol Rovers a good example) it's been all la la la la la and none of the proper words sung.

I can only ascertain that the majority of Saints fans have hideous short term memory, or are completely thick.

As for the Barnard song, it's ridiculous. Please stop singing it.

poll being why do saints fans turn into hyperactive kids with learning disabilities when singing losing all control of their arms clapping their hands together at a super-fast speed, therefore drowning out whatever song they were singing anyway?

The Rickie Lambert song would be quality if we actual did sing it. Instead the first verse is mumbled and descends in fast clapping and la lalaalalalalalalalalala

Agree the Barnard song is awful. I will change the way i sing the Lambert song if it makes others happy ;).

He stands at nearly 6ft3

Rickie, Rickie,

He'll take us to the Premier League

Rickie, Rickie

He gets the ball; he takes the ****

He wears the shirt of Matt Le Tis

Rickie Lambert

Southampton's Goal Machine

(claim no credit for the words though I think its a good song :-))

its actually:

He Stand's just over 6ft 3,

Rickie, Rickie,

He'll take us to the Premier League,

Rickie, Rickie,

He gets the ball, he takes the p!ss,

He wears the shirt of Matt Le Tiss,

Rickie Lambert, Southampton's Goal Machine

It doesn't really matter, it is all mumbled by the retards anyway, whilst they are clapping like a cripple trying to catch a ball, the only words anyone knows are na na na na na na na at 1,000,000 miles an hour.......

Another year gone, another failed season of trying to get Viva Lallana going....

Just clap really, really quickly, mumbled something and shout Lallana at the end, everyone will be chomping at the bit to join in.

I posted this some time back...

Inspired from our trip to Wembley I came up with this catchy one as another chant for Rickie - not as a replacement! Particularly like the resounding 'Oi' at the end.

To the tune of 'The Lambeth Walk' from the musical 'Me and My girl:

At St. Mary's and away

Rickie puts the goals away

And you'll find us all

Doin' the Lambert walk...Oi!

If someone starts singing it, i join in, then i just get looked at like i've punched everyone else's granny.

That version is wrong - the "proper" version is "he stands at NEARLY 6ft 3" anyway.

Just as the planks singing "Over 6ft 3" and the people who think he'll "fire" us to the Premier League are all boners too.

And don't get me (re-)started on the lack of pause in the second line of the Jose Fonte song either.

Tell me about it.

It's Jose Fonte baby, *pause* Jose Fonte whoaaaaa.

Has no-one ever heard the original FFS?

Oh, and that Viva Lallana chant is sh*t, that's why it never gets going.

I thought I heard a rendition of the former Ronaldo chant being sang for Lallana towards the end of the game in Saturday.....

He plays on the left

He plays on the riiiiiiiii-iiiiiiiiiiiiight

That boy Lallana

Makes your team look sh1te"

Easy to sing and actually factually correct as he spent most of the last three-four months swapping back and forth on the wings with Puncheon during games.
