Granadino Posted 13 May, 2010 Share Posted 13 May, 2010 Quick question for those in the know. Going to the game tomorrow with a couple of mates. Want to take a little bit of booze with us to cheapen the day out. Club website says: No alcohol shall be brought into the Ground at Twenty 20, International or other major matches. At domestic matches other than Twenty 20, a maximum of 4 cans of beer or equivalent or 70cl of wine may be brought into the Ground. Now apologies if this sounds stupid, but this isn't very clear to me. If we enter together, are we therefore allowed 70 cl of wine each, so, if we have a bag with 2 bottles of wine in, we will be okay?

If you get caught, point at some random that just walked in ahead of you and say that you are carrying their allocation as well.....
REDARMY79 Posted 13 May, 2010 Share Posted 13 May, 2010 Granadino, all the quotas are per person. You will need a few beers to take your mind off the incessant drone of diggers , hammering and circular saws! Have a good day!
Granadino Posted 13 May, 2010 Share Posted 13 May, 2010 Great, thank you muchly! Have often thought of taking booze to county matches but always forget and have to spend the whole day getting stung at the beer tent, so wasn't sure how it worked. Whenever I have gone in before I have often seen people getting booze confiscated so I was a bit wary. This is further compounded by the fact the regulations state 70 cl wine, when of course a standard bottle is 75 cl. Suppose I will take 3 bottles but just drink a bit of each before we get there! REDARMY79 Posted 13 May, 2010 Share Posted 13 May, 2010 Match Drawn, at least it stops the run of defeats.

Is it not normal to have to continue until 5pm no matter how pointless it is or was there rain/bad light ?
krissyboy31 Posted 13 May, 2010 Share Posted 13 May, 2010 I see Carberry has batted is way out of form, since he's back at Hants.
