chrisobee Posted 8 May, 2010 Posted 8 May, 2010 like i said on another thread the solent reported before the game that "all of this will come to a head within a week" when talking about all these rumours To which I have responded !
Saint_clark Posted 8 May, 2010 Posted 8 May, 2010 Your theory? Check page 1 of the thread! I came up with it! Toys + pram + p!ssed+ throw = miss = Forgot what I was on about. I didn't say it was exclusively my theory
SuperMikey Posted 8 May, 2010 Posted 8 May, 2010 Markus was at my house watching the Blackpool vs Forest game, then we went for a nice walk in the countryside. HTH
saintkiptanui Posted 8 May, 2010 Posted 8 May, 2010 Markus was at my house watching the Blackpool vs Forest game, then we went for a nice walk in the countryside. HTH Don't think so, at 12.32pm he was in the bookies with me picking his football accumalator, he then got the train to Weymouth and went Bass fishing with my uncle Ted.

saintkiptanui Posted 8 May, 2010 Posted 8 May, 2010 I bet he won and you lost !I followed price wise in the end and had the 16/1 winner of the big handicap at Ascot, yeashhh!
chrisobee Posted 8 May, 2010 Posted 8 May, 2010 I followed price wise in the end and had the 16/1 winner of the big handicap at Ascot, yeashhh! You mean Frankie's tip Dandy Man which just pipped Mabait, my tip, by a neck. Think we read the race pretty well, should have done the forecast !
itchen Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Was Kevin Keegan seen driving into the car park? It's about time we had that rumour.
ottery st mary Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Were you the bloke who saw Richard Branson in The Dell car park opening his boot to show Askham boxes of £50 notes bundled up in advance of a 1990's takeover that never happened? I sighted Lord Lucan a couple of times as well:smt114
Window Cleaner Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Very strange. Those were obviously fake programmes put about by NC to make it seem like there was nothing wrong and that AP wouldn't be sacked on Wednesday, you know how he loves secrecy, come on man get with the conspiracy theorists.
John B Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 I sighted Lord Lucan a couple of times as well:smt114 And Elvis in the Ottery st Mary chip shop?
Window Cleaner Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 And Elvis in the Ottery st Mary chip shop? they don't have chip shops in OSM, just the local "Pommes Pont Neuf" emporium

andymcrowe Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Funny how no-one has actually seen the programme and if there were any in the superstore we'd have had the column scanned into the forum by now - talk about rumour factory! Pardew's post match comments were similarly about 'we' rather than 'the team' which suggests he will or at least wants to stay.
SaintRichmond Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Rumour has it the program today gave away about someone leaving the club before it's officially announced? So no programs on sale before the match today. The answer is quite simple Pardew had let it slip (in the program), that he was waiting the nod from Gordon Brown to form a coalition Government That's a guarentee for Relegation if ever I heard one:cool::cool:
SaintRichmond Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Kevin Keegan was seen driving into the car park at 1 o'clock The other way round He was seen trying to LEAVE at 1 0'clock ...... ( some problem with the car park attendant apparently ):)
ottery st mary Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 The other way round He was seen trying to LEAVE at 1 0'clock ...... ( some problem with the car park attendant apparently ):) Chalkie came out of retirement, just so he could turn KK away
stockportsaint Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Was Kevin Keegan seen driving into the car park? It's about time we had that rumour. Yes, I spotted him coming in at 2.30. Except he wasn't driving, he was riding in on the back of a horse that he kept calling "Sher gar". Then Lord Lucan led the horse over to the motorbike area where he was tied up for the duration of the game. However Lord Lucan didn't stay with the horse, instead he handed him over to a bloke with lots of hair and a thick Russian accent that he called "Rass Pootin".
Thatchamsaint Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 I was at the ground from 11.30 a.m yesterday morning and at that time programmes were on sale in the shop, they were withdrawn from sale at 11.45 a.m and the notice that was in the shop window put up. Also they sent staff outside to try and get the programmes back off the few people who had purchased them, a lady who always gets at least 2 programmes signed by the players refused to give hers back but at least 3 other people did give theirs back in exchange for their money back. Unfortunately I did not get to look at the programmes, as they were soaking wet about an hour later when i next saw her, although a couple of other people were trying to unglue them to look at Pardew's notes. Sorry to further fuel the conspiracy theories but this is a genuine account of what actually happened yesterday lunchtime at St.Mary's.
ecuk268 Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Chalkie came out of retirement, just so he could turn KK away Sadly, Jack White went to that great car park in the sky a couple of years ago.
saintkiptanui Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 You mean Frankie's tip Dandy Man which just pipped Mabait, my tip, by a neck. Think we read the race pretty well, should have done the forecast !Yep, only had a fiver on it but very nice.
ottery st mary Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Sadly, Jack White went to that great car park in the sky a couple of years ago. RIP Jack...met him at The Dell and many a time in the players lounge at St Marys...A lovely guy. A Saint through and through.

Norm Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Sadly, Jack White went to that great car park in the sky a couple of years ago. Funny that, I spoke to him on Friday. ( I could be wrong but I'm sure it is the same Jack that turned KK away at the Dell car park)
aintforever Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 The programme thing obviously wasn't a production issue so it must hint at something going on with Pardew, especially as the club are not giving a reason.
hamster Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 There's teh annual programme fair next saturday at SMS. Wonder how many times this subject will come up? fwiw, I hope that this all revolves around AP asking for a pay rise.
Supersubpuckett Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 I reckon Lallana's off and maybe there was a reference to that in the programme. His goal celebration and subsequent mobbing by the other players looked a bit more than just normal.
krissyboy31 Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 I reckon Lallana's off and maybe there was a reference to that in the programme. His goal celebration and subsequent mobbing by the other players looked a bit more than just normal. It was because he was desperate to get to 20 goals for the season. He wanted to take the penalty but when Lambert insisted, he probably thought his chance had gone.

dubai_phil Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 With the travel worries about flights back to Switzerland, did anyone hear the rumour that ML tried to get a lift across the Channel on Paul Allen's Yacht?
krissyboy31 Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 With the travel worries about flights back to Switzerland, did anyone hear the rumour that ML tried to get a lift across the Channel on Paul Allen's Yacht? Yeh, I heard that but discounted it as BS because Markus wouldn't want to slum it!
Badger Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 Kevin Keegan was seen driving into the car park at 1 o'clock I know I saw him but he was sporting a black eye and bruised lip. NC asked him to collect the programmes on his way to the ground but he was ambushed at a service station when he stopped for a nap.Police say his attackers made off with 5,000 matchday programmes.
JRM Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 There is definitely something strange going on. No season ticket news, missing out on valuable advertising opportunity at the match. No kit details - again missing opportunity to market it to an easily accessable audience. No programmes for the last game of the season - in the 25 years i've been going to saints games i've never know programmes not to be sold, i know for a fact they were printed, so there is something in the content which was not deemed fit for publication
Tractor_Saint Posted 9 May, 2010 Author Posted 9 May, 2010 (edited) So, summing up - programmes (see, I can spell it right) were pulled because : 1. The printers messed up and they were never printed (seems to be proved incorrect) 2. There was something that Pardew said in the programme that had it pulled (again, incorrect) 3. Had the new kit shown when it hadn't been announced (unlikely) 4. Mentioned something about a player leaving ? (Lallana? Why did he want to take the penalty so much and then celebrate his goal in such fashion?) 5. The new layout of the ground was announced showing the away fans in the Chapel end 6. The season ticket prices were announced in the programme - way too early 7. And finally my personal favourite - I told the other half that I'd put a marriage proposal in there but as the programme had been pulled the wedding was off. Perhaps someone had done the same and bottled it and paid SFC a lot of money not to sell the programmes?? Oh, and I also know that from her reaction this is not a good way to propose for future reference! Whichever it is - strange that the OS or club hasn't explained it given some people appear to be in receipt of aforementioned programme. Edited 9 May, 2010 by Tractor_Saint
hamster Posted 9 May, 2010 Posted 9 May, 2010 I reckon that there is an announcement that Paul Allen is taking over the club. All part of his big plan. Markus and Nicky hold the reins for a season then once we've passed the Paul Allen 'fit and proper' test he makes his move. It's not rocket surgery ffs.

And he can't locate Torquay Saint's mate who is still looking for his scanner in his loft? If someone has a programme then scan it in and post it. FFS....

No, he was definitely with me. He did say something about his twin brother Marcus being at the bookies in Basingstoke with somebody called 'Kippy', and he got a text from him later saying that he'd caught a giant bass, so don't get anything in for dinner. Makes sense.
SaintRobbie Posted 10 May, 2010 Posted 10 May, 2010 (edited) My brother works at the printers. There was a **** up with the order and they didn't get done. NC was mega ****ed apparently. That is the most likely explanation. I love this site... somewhere in every thread lies the truth, it's just having the eye to spot it. Although they do appear to have arrived and a couple were sold... oh the intrigue! This is better than Cora and Eastenders rolled into one Edited 10 May, 2010 by SaintRobbie
