dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 Yep, sandals are not welcome in Romsey (they'll have to leave town with the face painted and funny wig wearers and go and live in Eastbourne) Now that is a good result given the LD's holding up in the South, i expected the win, but wasn't confident and wouldn't have been shocked to see it stay yellow. Scotty was on earlier and i said that the Tory lady had bigger tots and being tory would be better in bed, this swayed him and he voted Tory, it would be amazing if the result was by 1 vote.
dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 hey jonny if soton goes red do'you reckon mine and your well planned and executed campaign made a differencem i reckon probably500 separate people viewd this forum and they may have given info to four people who in turn told their friends and this why soton might just go blue. it could be our no ninsense campaign of honesty and factual detail that turned the city blue

We could get a ministerial scalp here
dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 ....with a large dose of common sense. We could get a ministerial scalp here I think what helped us most was that we were always polite and not smug or condescending, simply going about business cutting through lib and lab policies with the sword of truth. On the other hand with BTF away the opposition lost their potency and some, not all were outdebated to such an extent that they made the cardinal mistake of losing their tempers. Easy does it and steafy as she goes on dune and jonnys ship as we manovered through the spin and lies of lib lab policy waters

dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 Remember jonny we gotta be gracious in victory and offer condolensces and sympathy. We are the modern tory party and we are the party that really cares.

The first public sector cuts should be with those that organised the polling and totally screwed it up. 500,000 extra penpushers and we can't count all the votes!!!!
dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 (edited) BTF was a big loss to the left whilst she was on holiday, whilst VFTT showed his right of centre views which were at odds with his self proclaimed leftie stance. I think VFTT did very well getting his message accross, unfortunately the said message didn't interest anyone else, he focused too much on playing the man and not the ball. In poliitics is always better to win the argument that what you belive is right, rather than discreditng you rivals argument. negative politcs are patroninisng to people who have the brains to make their own minds up and they resent being told what to think over and over again. That said VFTT is hopefully going be sorta neutral soon with me cos i've offered him an olive branch cos it's vry boring our little spat. I don't wanna get like alps and sog not least because i may get infracted for defending myself and am really trying to not be daft and say something wrong or not allowed. it's gotta be the same for him so w'll see if a truce s called, although if it i'm not it'd last long. If we were countries we'd be north and south korea (me obviously the south) Edited 7 May, 2010 by dune
dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 Tories remove another dirty red stain from the south in swindon

They need to get rid of child tax credits and trust funds and all the other stupid handbacks that parents never used to get. Leave the money in families pockets, don't take it and then hand it back losing ****loads in the process as it sifts through the bureacratic cullinder
dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 Tories getting loads of 9.5% swings, wow the people are speaking and not letting us down.
dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 c'mon someone else post something, even if it's ****.
dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 (edited) Luton south coming, this seat is big, it's always gone with the govt. damnit, labour win it. The high immigrant population may have swung it with Lab being the party best for them getting more relatives over. Edited 7 May, 2010 by dune
dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 Unlucky Ester, That's Life had it been 25 years ago she'd have romped home.
hypochondriac Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 Certainly been interesting. Looks like a hung Parliament though which is sh*tty.
dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 Jacqui Smith = Gone A portillo moment???? is she the frumpy one, or the red/ginger biker? ha ha just seen the tv, it's mrs frump
hypochondriac Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 Oh and I do really love Paxman. Cr*p Ed Balls held his seat.
Johnny Bognor Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 Johnny Bognor = Gone to bed. Someone's got to get up tomorrow and do his bit to drag the economy from the abyss
Saint in Paradise Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 The abyss is actually a very popular 5 hour underground experience at Waitomo here in NZ, it's operated by a company called Black Water Rafting.
dune Posted 7 May, 2010 Author Posted 7 May, 2010 Enoch powells old seat in wolverhampton has gone Tory, thats a good Tory win considering how working class and dprived many areas are
CB Saint Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 Jacqui Smith = Gone A portillo moment???? Proper LOL moment -
Thedelldays Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 Hahaha just woke up and seen how the libdems vote falling apart hahaha They are a bunch of loons and should look at their policies on the euro and immigration and even defence Only 45 more seats for the Tories to get from 68 Looks like a hung parliament though, still already the biggest Tory swing since the 1930s Torys have alliances lined up or them to take power Good good

The high immigrant population may have swung it with Lab being the party best for them getting more relatives over. No surprise Luton South is held by Labour, still waiting for the Watford result, a really marginal seat. Would expect it to be won by the Tories but the current Labour MP, Claire Ward, is one of the few popular MP's ! Lib Dems were a close 3rd last time but I don't see them winning *prays* .
Thedelldays Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 tories gain another from labour - milton keynes south

badgerx16 Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 An election of leaders failing; Labour - 'nuff said Tories - despite everything DC fails to get an overall majority, and has 1 seat in the whole of Scotland LibDems - less seats than they started with Scots Nats - no gains DUP - Robinson loses his seat The only real success is the Greens, winning their first seat.
chrisobee Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 Oh finally, the Tories gain Watford from Labour, no surprise even though Labour have held it since 1992. Biggest surprise is probably the BNP getting 1,217 votes.
trousers Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 It's clear that Cameron should side with the SNP and push through Scottish independance. To have such a large majority in England yet having no mandate to rule has sadly changed my mind on maintaining the Union.
Ludwig Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 Oh finally, the Tories gain Watford from Labour, no surprise even though Labour have held it since 1992. Biggest surprise is probably the BNP getting 1,217 votes. The BNP getting so many votes is little surprise, considering South Oxhey forms part of the Watford constituency. I honestly think the Tories getting in is somewhat surprising, Richard Harrington is somewhat slimy, and I say this from having met him twice. Also, would he be able to fit in this one seat he has won? Sal Brinton was a genuinely good candidate, I'm disappointed that she didn't make it.

Yes, I saw your comment on the BNP thread, I often forget poxy Oxhey is part of Watford ! I would imagine that South Oxhey and Garston accounted for the number of votes, I always find Garston a strange place, lots of really decent people but some real scumbags there as well..... though maybe getting mugged there clouds my judgement on that. I thought it was inevitable Watford would be tight, as you say Harrington does come across as slimy, Sal Brinton I have met and was a good candidate, I have also found Claire Ward to be extremely helpful. Just a shame she stands for Labour.
