Saint Fan CaM Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 I am sure I'm not the only one wondering what's happening about ST renewals this season - after all, in the past early bird has been and gone by now. Then it dawned on me - perhaps NC is holding back on ST sales because there will be disruption to some ST holders in the Chapel/Kingsland corner when the away fans are moved and there will be new ST availability in the Northam when the away fans vacate sometime after this Saturdays game. There will be lots of changes to building infrastructure, marketing blurb, tickets, stadium map etc. to deal with and then introduce. If this is the case, I can't see new ST's being made available for at least a couple of weeks into close season. Thoughts?
Um Bongo Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 I've heard there is 'major maintenance work' going on this summer. However, no nothing else of what it is.
Saint_clark Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 I thought the same tbh, but i'd imagine they'll have this all sorted already, meaning they can swap all the maps, ticketing system etc. around within around a week.
RedArmy Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 Hopefully they'll be cards again with an electronic system.

Perhaps the club has realised that all those extra games for the Cups and days out at Wembley have taken a heavy toll on some household budgets and are giving them a bit of time to recover before having to stump up £300 or so for a ST, because plenty will want to do that.
Saints foreva Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 Has there been any more news on the away fans yet? I for one think the atmosphere will die in the Northam Stand if they move the away fans. We won't ever be able to make it like a 'Kop' and it would just become a similar version of what The Chapel stand is now.
VectisSaint Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 I suspect entrance to all home games next season will be free for adults as a special memento of our 125th anniversary.
StuRomseySaint Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 I personally think that anyone who has been a season ticket holder since relegation should recieve a big discount for the 125 year celebrations. I would suggest the following price structure STH since relegation - £125 ST Renewals since - £225 New ST - £325 As much as I hate kids at football, I think STH since relegation should be allowed a free child ST should they want one.
Mattio Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 they'll be bringing in the ticketmaster scanners i reckon, or if not the arsenal style ones

Nah, reward the boycotters! if too many happy-clappers had tunred up then Lowe would still have scraped enough together to buy yet another handful of maic beans and we would be still neck deep (or deeper) in $h!t. Free STs for the boycotteers. Otherwise price sounds nice to me
benjii Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 I don't buy, in SMS, the thing about being near the away fans and atmosphere. I stand in the Northam and in 90% of matches I don't hear anything from the away fans unless there's a goal. You can rarely hear any chants. It was a bit different in the Dell; it was more intimate. I honestly don't think it would make any difference at SMS. And before an Itchen Block 1er comes on giving it the big one... the rest of the ground can't hear you either.
BadgerBadger Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 Get rid of the away fans to the other end of the stadium and take all the fukwits that are more interested in the away fans and spend all their time giving it the large one. Northam is established enough to be the noisy end without the away fans
Junction 9 Posted 6 May, 2010 Posted 6 May, 2010 I thought they were going to move away fans to the Itchen corner and give us the whole of the Northam? Surely we will be just as far apart as we are now, just the other way around?

BarnetSaint Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 Shove the away fans in the corner of the chapel-the itchen crew can then relocate directly opposite them and we get the whole of the northam.

Otherwise price sounds nice to me I'll happily hand out STs at my own expense to anyone who can prove they were outside the ground protesting against Lowe for the entire season of 2008/9, rather than just not turning up because they didn't want to watch us lose or were skint. We'd have still gone into Admin by now even if all those people had turned up to every match.
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 Right, info from the horse's mouth so to speak. Just had an email from David Luker which states that he expects to have some news next week. Details are not finalised as yet.
ladysaint Posted 7 May, 2010 Posted 7 May, 2010 Major building work going on in the hospitality areas, not sure if they are enlarging them or making the suites smaller but at the moment they are not being booked out until work has been completed.

As I said on the other thread, I hope there is a good reason for the delay. It's a bit of a ball-ache not being able to start paying for it until June... paying the first installment in March meant that it would be finished before Xmas. I reckon there may be a 125th anniversary special, or something. :-/

Will not stop me getting mine mind you, however I always liked the fact that by November the seat was all paid up. If they release and we can buy before end May, I suppose with 6 payments it will still finish before Xmas?

I dont mind kids at football as long as they are boys and sit the family centre. the last thing i want, other than a geezer bird in a football shirt shouting "cam on saints" "cam on number 10" "cam on Richie Lampard score a goal" in her thick as pig ****, scummy, vile, scrumpy jack swilling accent with her hideous face and rotting teeth staring at me is a whinging, pampered, spoilt little brat of a girl sitting next to me muching her fat unhealthy chops through a hot dog and a coke and moaning that she wants to go to the toilet all the way though. That aside a lot of people (like me) haven't bothered with season tickets as there is no need. SO to encourage fans to part with thier cash up front, then i would also give a discount to fans on the database who have been to at least 10 games in the previous season.

Actually Stuart, the reason i haven't been getting a season ticket the last few years is because we aren't playing Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea etc ever week, i only go to watch the opponents. If i dont have a season ticket i dont feel oblidged to go to games like Orient where i have no interest in the opposition.

That's proper dedication. 260 mile round trip for 30 minutes of football. I agree with your sentiments about children though, they should be only lads and kept in the family enclosure... I would say the same about women but I might have a student shirt-wearing lady joining us up the back of the Northam next season so I shall keep my real opinions to myself... although I did tell her she is not allowed to wear her replica shirt next season, and will be taking her to Ben Shermans flagship store to get her clobbered up.

If you were a proper fan you'd have got there two hours before kick off, waited around to cheer the team bus and got autographs, taken some pictures for you facebook album "Gills away" seen the whole game, waited around afterwards to cheer the players back onto the bus and then gone straight home and updated TSF with your "just back from the game thread" so everyone knows you went. Not ****ed off to the boozer after 30 mins. As for a woman joining you next season, what sort of a hypocryte are you? You are like the neo nazis in prision with Derek Vinyard in American history X, you dont really believe in ****.

Not content with being mugged off by most blokes its now happening with women...... In negotiations? Do you mean you're at the, hanging around the pub she drinks in staring at her from a distance hoping she doesn't catch you and knocking one out in the shower every morning, stage. Grow a pair and go and talk to her, either she wants you or she doesn't, which to be fair is the most likely, either way there are 3.5 billion others out there. Edited 7 May, 2010 by Turkish

JonnyLove Posted 11 May, 2010 Posted 11 May, 2010 Just thinking. Could the reason why we have not heard about season tickets is because NC is waiting for things to get resolved in the back office of the club first. Example. People buy season tickets now and AP leaves along with 1 or 2 players we want to keep. People become unhappy and less are sold. NC sorts out and lays it on the line what is happening. Release season ticket sales and everyone knows what they are getting. Not saying that players are going to leave (well some will cause their crap) or that AP will leave. But surely it is better to release the Season Tickets to everyone once they can have a product to sell as it were. Just my little mind at work to add my 2 pence worth.
