Sheaf Saint Posted 6 May, 2010 Share Posted 6 May, 2010 What festivals are everyone planning on getting to this year then? So far I have only booked up this one Been the last two years running and it's an absolute hidden gem stashed away in the valleys of Lancashire. About 20 people I know going this year so should be a great weekend. Might make it to the Big Chill again as well but funds might prevent that. Scudamore Posted 6 May, 2010 Share Posted 6 May, 2010 Soundwave out in Croatia. http://www.soundwavecroatia.com Part holiday part festival. Best of both worlds. Really can't wait.
SuperMikey Posted 6 May, 2010 Share Posted 6 May, 2010 Glastonbury and Saturday at Reading (just to see The Libertines and Arcade Fire, Reading is an absolutely sh!te festival). Was thinking about perhaps going to GuilFest but there's not many bands on the lineup worth paying £100 for imo, that money could just be spent getting completely smashed at Glasto and Reading! Think i'll definitely do a few of the smaller festivals next year though, probably do some stewarding as well, good summer work. Any suggestions? Bear in mind i'm 18 and male, so a Real Ale fest with a Rod Stewart cover band won't be my bag really.

jeff leopard Posted 7 May, 2010 Share Posted 7 May, 2010 Going to Green Man in August, a small(ish), friendly and frightfully middle-class folk/indie/electronica festival held in the Breacon Beacons. It’s a great place to just bumble about and catch loads of people you’ve never heard of, or check out the strange mix of cool young things and indie has-beens. This year’s headliners are Doves (beige rock, anyone? No, I thought not), Flaming Lips (re-invigorated by their new gritty kraut-rock sound), and the very lovely Joanna Newsome. The food is really good and the toilets stay clean all weekend. Beards only.
bpsaint Posted 7 May, 2010 Share Posted 7 May, 2010 Was almost tempted to do IOW this year after the past 2 IMO had awful line ups,but decided to head over to Ireland with the Mrs and go to Oxegen Festival.
