SO16_Saint Posted 4 May, 2010 Share Posted 4 May, 2010 Has anyone tried reducing their sky package, taking off sports, and got it for a £1, yet? Seem to remember it being talked about last year??
Baj Posted 5 May, 2010 Share Posted 5 May, 2010 After this weekend i'm cancelling my sports, movies, HD, espn and sky plus. I'll let you know what sort of deal I'm offered.
The9 Posted 5 May, 2010 Share Posted 5 May, 2010 I cancelled Sky HD in July 2009 when I moved, and haven't missed it for a second, saving myself about £70 pcm in the process.
JackanorySFC Posted 5 May, 2010 Share Posted 5 May, 2010 Sky+ HD is my favourite direct debit. I'd drive to Middlesex every month, wrap it in a bow and hand it to them in person if they asked. Virgin is for losers.

buctootim Posted 5 May, 2010 Share Posted 5 May, 2010 +1, craps all over Council tax! Thats possibly the most ill educated post Ive read on here, and thats going some. You think paying £70 pm for mostly crappy programmes is better value for money than education of your children, fire service, police, roads, rubbish collection and public parks. Jeez I should be a salesman - there is all kinds of crap you would be a sucker for.

Marsdinho Posted 5 May, 2010 Share Posted 5 May, 2010 Ive tried this before. I wanted to reduce the amount I pay each month and heard (on here) that you can phone sky up and threaten to quit as the monthly fee is too much. they then offer you all these deals to stay. Instead, they agreed to remove the sports package........ I had to quickly back track and say that I would need to think about it for a day or two !!! I didnt want to lose sports, I just didnt want to pay as much as I was. Can someone please explain to me how I can still keep my subscriptions, but get a reduction in my bill. I have sky TV, phone and broadband... Ive heard so many stories about people only paying X amount, and I want some of it !!!!
