Gorgiesaint Posted 4 May, 2010 Share Posted 4 May, 2010 good rant from Andy Jacobs on talksport today with the co-creator of the D/L http://www.talksport.net/index.asp?id=110710&c=&t=#media Brilliant, heard it live. Thing is Andy Jacobs was absolutely spot on, and for Lewis to just totally refute taking wickets into account was ridiculous. Last night was a farce - and it looks like we're going to D/L again tonight - so effectively having lost 2 tosses, we could be out of the WC. As commented by someone earlier - who in the ICC decided that Guyana in May was a suitable venue

SO16_Saint Posted 4 May, 2010 Author Share Posted 4 May, 2010 No, in this case it is no result so England go through and rightly so. Hmm, not sure. Ireland looked pretty good in the field and were as unlucky as we were yesterday with the weather. Think it would have been close

Think it would have been close Slow pitch, England were still favourites to win even with only 120. Ireland would have found all the England bowlers hard to score off and I would have backed us to win. Still we will never know.
chrisobee Posted 9 May, 2010 Share Posted 9 May, 2010 England all but into the semis after following their win over Pakistan with an easy 39 run win over SA. Second succesive 50 for KP. http://msnsport.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12040_6141995,00.html
