ooohTerryHurlock Posted 4 May, 2010 Posted 4 May, 2010 Sorry why? We drew 1-1... Yes we took the lead and then gave a crap goal away. Any reason other than that? I can think of a few more important moments, Swindon at home anyone? I think it is because we were under the cosh for so long in the second half. Then won the game against run of play to then throw away two points against one of our main rivals. just my opinion
bender Posted 4 May, 2010 Posted 4 May, 2010 I enjoyed Brentford. That was f*cking freezing. and we didnt play that well despite starting well.
LA77 Posted 4 May, 2010 Posted 4 May, 2010 (edited) Orient, Millwall, Yeovil, Mk Dons. In that order. Roll on next season, and looking forward to Bournemouth away already!! Oh and Rovers of course Edited 5 May, 2010 by LA77
West End Saint Posted 5 May, 2010 Posted 5 May, 2010 Best Bristol Rovers 5 1 mates birthday went out after top nite out cup was good there as well were the dry/side wet side ect Southend 3 1 in the p1ssing rain great turn out mid week cracking support Orient for the come back numbers of Saints fans and great atmosphere special mention Gillingham what a way to finish away footy good sing song on the way home. Worst Brighton couldnt see a thing rubbish Wycombe just sh1te Colchester sh1te freezing & in the middle of nowhere Had a blast away this season really enjoyed it looking forward to next season
Huntingdon Posted 5 May, 2010 Posted 5 May, 2010 Had a brilliant day at Walsall, really enjoyed it Worst one was Swindon - I came away thinking we could be in League 2 next season
astrasri Posted 5 May, 2010 Posted 5 May, 2010 I only "made" one away game - Hartlepool, so many of us to travel all that way and then out sing the home fans (even whilst they had their lead) - was absolutely brilliant. Their pies were pretty good as well!!
dronskisaint Posted 5 May, 2010 Posted 5 May, 2010 Best - Norwich - we owned them from the first minute to the end Worst - Colchester - cold, crap result, crap ground, crap ball boys who nearly caused a riot by not getting off their arses for our throws & corners & couldn't see the far end in the fog. Parked close though.
Thedelldays Posted 5 May, 2010 Posted 5 May, 2010 (edited) brizzle rovers away...great night..sh1t ground for a few mins on the terrance, huddersfield threw a lead away and were losing and it seemed the impossible was happening... then some d1ck said huddersfield let a 4th in...when they never.. harwellsaint Posted 5 May, 2010 Posted 5 May, 2010 wallsal, top day on the source culminating on the train back to brum, stopped at station full of villa fans and as the doors opened villa fans were greeted by train full of saints singing" youre not getting on, youre not getting on, youre not getting, youre not getting, youre not getting on!" priceless
rich saints Posted 5 May, 2010 Posted 5 May, 2010 best norwich 2nd hartlepool 3rd leyton orient worst colchester

saint_bert Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 Looking back last seasons away games were ace. Cant wait already for next seasons
Block 5 Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 I have been to 2 away games this season (other than Wembley) Swindon Wycombe Not sure i can pick.......... .
Block 5 Posted 4 June, 2010 Posted 4 June, 2010 What was your away game of the season? For me it is a choice of: Gillingham: Not so much for the game, which was one of the worst, but for the ridiculous amount of alcohol consumed and random messy London-ness. Leyton Orient: Massive Saints following, good drink with lads well out the way of the ground and more Leicester Square madness after the match. I must say, I fookin love League 1. :-) Gills for me. Proper old school messy.
Hemel Saint Posted 6 June, 2010 Posted 6 June, 2010 The Good.... Orient - for the Real Ale Pub Crawl before and stacks again after Walsall - for the Real Ale beforehand Millwall - for the Real Ale before and after Carlisle - long trip but made it up in time for pub opening at 11am and then back home in time for a Curry Yeovil - sunburned Head, last minute goal and wasted on far too much Real Ale The really bad... Swindon - Sh1te pub, ****e game, sh1te away end Colchester - Soulless ground in middle of nowhere Brighton - nothing good to say about it, at all I have really enjoyed league 1 away games. Already looking forward to next seasons trips!!!! Away games are not just about the 90 mins of footy, but the whole away-day experience. Spending a day from early-doors with a bunch of mates that just happen to support and follow the same footy team as you! Quality!
mancsaint Posted 6 June, 2010 Posted 6 June, 2010 Indeed, once you learn your lesson you never do it again. My Dad did it on 1st July 1966 I never forgave him or have never ever done it myself.
saints_is_the_south Posted 6 June, 2010 Posted 6 June, 2010 1. Leyton Orient 2. Hartlepool 3. Carlisle

There new ground is coming out good, all though it reminds me of Huddersfield.
Bushey Saint Posted 19 June, 2010 Posted 19 June, 2010 Yeovil But then that was as good as a home game for me (and a damn sight nearer), and I was sat amongst the home fans. Took a bit of willpower not to grin too broadly on the way out
bungle Posted 22 June, 2010 Posted 22 June, 2010 Disappointingly next season's fixtures haven't thrown up an epic like Hartlepool away on a Tuesday. Still, mostly looking forward to Rochdale, Dagenham & Redbridge, a Saturday in Hartlepool and the obligatory trip to Carlisle.
