StuRomseySaint Posted 30 April, 2010 Posted 30 April, 2010 My mate is playing against ex Saints at the end of next month and just noticed that there is ex-Saints v ex-Chelsea at Eastleigh's ground on Bank Holiday Monday. 2pm K.O and gates open at 12 I must say I am pretty dissapointed it hasn't been advertised anywhere on the OS That said, I will be there.
StuRomseySaint Posted 30 April, 2010 Author Posted 30 April, 2010 Just noticed it is in aid of Peter Osgood and Kevin Moore. Sticky I think?
irishsaint83 Posted 30 April, 2010 Posted 30 April, 2010 poster looks a bit like an add for a circus one........ might open a candy floss stall for this game - anyone know where i'd get a permit to set up a stall?
Hatch Posted 30 April, 2010 Posted 30 April, 2010 Not THE Martin Murphy.....Why wasn't I informed earlier.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 30 April, 2010 Posted 30 April, 2010 Which team is Dennis Wise plying for? I don't think he bats for the other side.
StuRomseySaint Posted 30 April, 2010 Author Posted 30 April, 2010 Can't get the team line-ups from Google but from pub chat tonight Tim Flowers in goal for Saints and Ken Monkou playing 45 for each team. Should be a good day.
StuRomseySaint Posted 30 April, 2010 Author Posted 30 April, 2010 Are you gonna get your face painted, Stew? No.
ericofarabia Posted 1 May, 2010 Posted 1 May, 2010 I didn't think so. Just one step at a time ... just the jester hat to start with .... maybe the whole works for the end of season party with Sarfend
StuRomseySaint Posted 3 May, 2010 Author Posted 3 May, 2010 Saints 3 v Chelsea 1 coming up to half time. Decent turnout.
REDARMY79 Posted 3 May, 2010 Posted 3 May, 2010 5- 1 saints in the end. Really good afternoon with good crowd. Nice to see a few of our first team there too, supporting two good causes.
Lets B Avenue Posted 3 May, 2010 Posted 3 May, 2010 Saints won 5-1. Le tiss lasted all of 10 mins before pulling a fetlock. Saints: Paul Jones, Dodd, Benali, Paul Williams, Widdrington, Tessem, David Hughes,, Howells, Le Tiss, Rod Wallace, Banger. Subs included Steve Baker, Andy Cook and possibly one of LeTiss' brothers. Chelski: Unknown keeper, Bumstead, Pates, Clive Wilson, Graham Wilkins, David Lee, Cannoville, Walker, Hall, Stanley, Tore Andre Flo, Kieth Dublin. Pretty dull to watch and spent most of the time catching up with long lost relatives. No sign of Kenny Monkou, or Frank Sidebottom (a.k.a. Shipperley). Ian Baird also rested as he has a Charity boxing match at the DeVere on Thursday. Also saw Super Kelv and Sir Rickie, along with Lawrie Mac. Decent enough crowd, so hope the charities benefitted.
StuRomseySaint Posted 3 May, 2010 Author Posted 3 May, 2010 Wasn't another of the Saints subs David Hirst? Was a decent day, first half was good, second was dull as dishwater. Good to see Kelvin and Rickie there alond with Lloyd James and a few others.

Good to see Kelvin and Rickie there alond with Lloyd James and a few others. Never saw this advertised would have been a good day out. Just Hope Lloyd James was there as an EX Saint
StuRomseySaint Posted 3 May, 2010 Author Posted 3 May, 2010 Never saw this advertised would have been a good day out. Just Hope Lloyd James was there as an EX Saint Lloyd James was there, had a photo taken with Rickie and Super Kelvin, Lloyd asked if we wanted a photo with him too... we said no thanks... his face was a picture.
REDARMY79 Posted 4 May, 2010 Posted 4 May, 2010 Anyone know who the big lad was who came on and played centre half for thw last 20 minutes. Massive skinhead wearing number 30. Heard him say he was playing about 17 years ago here, but I didnt recognise him.

SaintCasual Posted 4 May, 2010 Posted 4 May, 2010 Number 30 name was Marcel. Not sure if he played for the first team..
StuRomseySaint Posted 4 May, 2010 Author Posted 4 May, 2010 Number 30 name was Marcel. Not sure if he played for the first team.. Marcel from Millbrook?
Matthew Le Tissier Posted 4 May, 2010 Posted 4 May, 2010 Steve Baker... I think. he bid in the auction on friday night and paid about a grand for half a match
Lets B Avenue Posted 4 May, 2010 Posted 4 May, 2010 Steve Baker... I think. Steve Baker isn't a skinhead, nor "massive" for that matter. He came on for Le Tiss after 10 mins and played on the right of midfield for the rest of the match.
Bartosz Bialkowski Posted 4 May, 2010 Posted 4 May, 2010 Marcel from Millbrook? Play a doorman centre half - that'll keep the oppo out

He came on for Le Tiss after 10 mins and played on the right of midfield for the rest of the match. Baker was pretty impressive actually. Good fitness for his age! Was impressed mostly by Rod Wallace though, good standard of play from him. Shame MLT couldnt last for longer
