Career change

Getting fed up with QS work and have been thinking of a career change. I have worked in the Construction Industry from Apprentice Sparky up to Senior M/E QS on some major projects so i have had plenty of site experience. Our CDM guy thinks i would make a good Health and Safety Manager/Consultant given the right training etc. Anyone out there already doing this that can point me in the right direction, salary exspectations etc
