Watching Brown is actually quite nauseating. I don't mean from some moral, ethical or political viewpoint, I mean he's physically quite odd to look at - especially when he's talking.
Gordon looks a bit like a monkey tonight, poor gordon. Cameron is the ugliest and cleggy is the best looking.

Brown sounds by fair the best so far, actually sounds passionate and sounds like he knows what he is talking about. His policy he has said has also been detailed and too the point.

You're way off. None of them make any sense.

I hope Brown goes because I don't want a NI hike and I don't get tax credits anyway.

It isn't a hike at all, it's necessary. The only other option is a raise in VAT which will be much worse. It comes as no surprise to me that business' are against this, of course they would be. Tax rises will come, we have a massive deficit. And the Tories are still raising it you know... just by not as much, the whole thing is a gimic!

I'm a member of the Liberal Democrats by the way, so I don't say Gordon Brown is doing the best so far tonight lightly.

What the hell? Cameron is being completely destroyed by Gordon Brown. Clegg seems somewhat irrelevant today however.

Not being funny, but have you been drinking?

Brown just keeps hammering away with the 'we are doing the right thing' argument when it's clear that they have at least been a little wrong, Cameron keeps explaining his ideas, and I cannot dissagree with him!!!

Gordon brown ruined the economy so how he can

claim he knows how to solve it is beyond me. 13 years of failure!!

The failure to cope with the housing market crash was a result of our economy's dependence upon the 'square mile'. What caused this? The removal of the UK's manufacturing base. What caused this? Privatisation. Who caused this? The Conservatives under Thatcher and Major.

how..?

Sorry, how can someone propose immediate cuts, threatening the stability of the economy in the short-run? How can this same person look to aid the 'super-rich' with inheritance tax cuts for them, whilst simultaneously cutting child benefit allowances? That one policy outlines everything that's wrong with the Conservatives, they're helping the rich and disadvantaging the poor. Not only this, but the marginal propensity to consume and to spend the disposable income 'windfalls' they'd receive means these 'cuts' for the rich means money sitting in a bank account, whereas money that would be readily spent via child benefits is cut. How can a man proposing this be 'clearly winning'? Where is he going to find the cuts he proposes? When will he directly answer a question tonight? He's been awful.

The last 13 years have clearly contributed, but the housing market crash which led to the recession was an exogenous factor which the government had no control over. The government ought to have implemented greater regulation for the banks and should have done so. But, let's get real, in such 'good times' what political party would impose greater regulation and **** off those who feed it most? None of the parties would have, whoever would've been in power over the last few years would have presided over a terrible recession, but before that, Brown did as reasonable a job as can be asked and his economic policies for the future are far more prudent, clear and logical than the Tories. Do you really want George Osborne looking after the economy? Pfft.

I think Brown and Cameron are about neck and neck at the moment. Brown is trying to attack and is having some success as Cameron is simply not answering the questions Brown directly puts to him. Cameron on the other hand is doing quite well in making his ill-advised non NI insurance hike policies sound plausible.

I find it disgusting that Cameron is trying to appeal to me by saying that people who earn my salary (20-23k) 'arn't rich' - No **** Sherlock, but I also don't want to see savage cuts in my public services, I don't mind paying more tax if the excellent level of public service in this country is kept up!!
