Why does everyone always nod their head when the person speaking makes eye contact with them? p1sses me off, and even more so because I realised that I also do it. I made a conscious effort to stop nodding but STILL couldn't do it.

I'd hate to be a manager taking a meeting, with all the fecking Churchill dog wannabe's looking back at me!

I guess it's a normal reactio to acknowledge, to stop you feeling uncomfortable. But yeah, I know what you mean. Particularly when it's not appropriate to nod, not even at the end of a point.

Was it a meeting about who pushes the trolleys the best?

Or who wears the best fake Rockports?

I like to develop random ticks in meetings.

The person talking will be waffling on about figures and profit margins when I love to just bang the table lightly and make a loud 'bip' noise whilst flaring my nostrils and looking slightly bosseyed.

They f*cking love it

When you haven't got a clue what is going on I sometimes nod sagely and say "I agree".

I done that once and ended up having to fellate with my Area Manager called Caroline, she was annoying.
