richardc Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 My Brighton mate is texted me about a swap deal with Murray and Holmes

itchen_dan Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 West Brom have signed Craig Dawson from Rochdale but have agreed to loan him back to Rochdale for the rest of this season. Weren't there people saying that we should've gone for him? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6350608,00.html
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 For one reason or another, Pele has left MK Dons already. Worth another go?
Appy Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 Seems like it will be loans if any activity, according to the guy on the echo anyway.
fish fingers Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 For one reason or another' date=' Pele has left MK Dons already. Worth another go?[/quote'] No.
Appy Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 I'm really hoping for a double loan swoop of Ivan Sproule and Rowan Vine.
Chez Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 West Brom have signed Craig Dawson from Rochdale but have agreed to loan him back to Rochdale for the rest of this season. Weren't there people saying that we should've gone for him? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6350608,00.html yes. I was very much one of those people. Strange move seeing as he seemed to keen to move up a division.
Chez Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 For one reason or another' date=' Pele has left MK Dons already. Worth another go?[/quote'] we'd have to have found someone to take Wotton/pUlis off our hands first. Actually isn't today the last day of Pulis' second year of his contract. I guess we will know tomorrow, if we don't already, that the third year was his choice rather than ours.
positivepete Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 Ian Harte to Reading, another off the long list of HCDAJFU
S-Clarke Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 Ian Harte has gone to Bristol City. HTH It's reading http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10306~2140564,00.html
silversaint Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 Yeah apologies, BBC got it wrong. Much like Cortese.
Gorgiesaint Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 See Tom Craddock, the Luton striker that a few on here thought CDAJFU last season has joined Oxford (according to the BBC website).
Badger Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 So, after over 3,000 posts we end up with two right backs, and a left back. Not many people can claim any ITK success this time. Can't wait for Jauary's window......
Saint_Ash Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 After the Prem teams have named their 25 men squads today I reckon we'll be sniffing around for some top loans!
Block 5 Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 It's sad when the Official Summer Transfers & HCDAJFU thread starts it's inevitable slide down the forum into digital oblivion. Before it disappears completely and we admit Winter is nearly here, let's remember the good times. My own favourite moment was when I read that Michael Owen was coming to SMS. Any others?
itchen_dan Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Michael Kightly been left out of Wolves 25 man squad. Would be a good addition here but I reckon a championship club will snap him up pretty quickly.
Ludwig Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Michael Kightly been left out of Wolves 25 man squad. Would be a good addition here but I reckon a championship club will snap him up pretty quickly. Only because he's still recovering from a serious injury that hasn't seen him play for over (?) a year.
Tac-tics Posted 2 September, 2010 Posted 2 September, 2010 This premier league ruling hasn't exactly gone to plan!!!
EBS1980 Posted 2 September, 2010 Posted 2 September, 2010 Cos it appears only Woodgate and Kightly are the only players left out of the squad lists. No other real names left out of the squad.
westmidlandsaint Posted 2 September, 2010 Posted 2 September, 2010 This premier league ruling hasn't exactly gone to plan!!! It was always doomed to failure. I cant remember many squads having 25 players over the age of 21. They really need to look at the ruling and tinker with it because it just doesn't do a purpose.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 2 September, 2010 Posted 2 September, 2010 In a way it's worked because clubs have jettisoned players - think Man City with Robinho etc - but not in the way lower league clubs hoped. We were all hoping for stacks of decent Premier League cast offs to be made available for loan. Instead, the players have been shifted permanently elsewhere.
Gingeletiss Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 I just seen a 'p45' eleven on the football league show, would pass as a very good championship side IMO.
Smirking_Saint Posted 14 September, 2010 Posted 14 September, 2010 When do the Loan deals start again ?? We need them Oh and could this guy give us a bit of bite in midfield ? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6377048,00.html
Smirking_Saint Posted 14 September, 2010 Posted 14 September, 2010 who was in it? I thought that, i did have a quick look for it, i am not going through a whole hour with maniche and rosenior just to find it. I guess Vassell would be in it, one would argue HCDAJFU
dubai_phil Posted 14 September, 2010 Posted 14 September, 2010 It's sad when the Official Summer Transfers & HCDAJFU thread starts it's inevitable slide down the forum into digital oblivion. Before it disappears completely and we admit Winter is nearly here, let's remember the good times. My own favourite moment was when I read that Michael Owen was coming to SMS. Any others? I remember the days when we were signing the permanent wingers, a Rickie cover and a CM. Or was that last January's HCDAJFU thread?
Smirking_Saint Posted 14 September, 2010 Posted 14 September, 2010 Good news for Saints and perhaps the SWF annual ST Mary's game, i'll be fit by March.
dubai_phil Posted 14 September, 2010 Posted 14 September, 2010 Good news for Saints and perhaps the SWF annual ST Mary's game, i'll be fit by March. Well, the Away side needs strengthening
JonnyLove Posted 15 September, 2010 Posted 15 September, 2010 Interesting blog from the BBC regarding free agents that can be signed. Some good players that would and could do a job for us http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2010/08/the_hopes_and_fears_of_footbal.html#248321 Certainly enough to cover a few of the areas we need to fill on a short term basis anyway
marcsfc Posted 16 September, 2010 Posted 16 September, 2010 how about marlon king ok hes had problems off the field, but he is a goalscorer, coventry stumbling on a contratct offer, might be worth a punt????
Saint 76er Posted 16 September, 2010 Posted 16 September, 2010 Word from a Scunny fan on 606 is that NA brought in Donal McDermott on loan from Man City late last season and the guy was good, really fast with quick feet and lot's of trickery. Donal Jeremiah McDermott is (not surprisingly) Irish and an attacking mid or striker, aged almost 21 and listed as 5' 10". Sounds a decent prospect and not likely to figure too much at City. Maybe our new main man will revisit this option perhaps ...
saint_stevo Posted 16 September, 2010 Posted 16 September, 2010 Well, the Away side needs strengthening I am also fit and ready for my SMS bow
Doctoroncall Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 the footy agent who was eluding to NA getting the Saints job is stating the WHU lad Junior Stanislas in. Cannot see it myself as he already has eleven starts under his belt from last season.
Nexstar Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 the footy agent who was eluding to NA getting the Saints job is stating the WHU lad Junior Stanislas in. Cannot see it myself as he already has eleven starts under his belt from last season. Surely Stanislas made it into the WHU 25 man squad then?
landford.saint Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 Who knows what's going on at west ham. . Avram Grant,,, you know the brothel frequenter who did so marvellously for that fishy lot down the road.
saint_stevo Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 Stanislas in the 25 so its tripe. http://www.whufc.com/articles/20100901/25-man-squad-confirmed_2236884_2142162
trousers Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 Can we replace "summer" with "autumn" in the thread title please....? ;-)
Saint_Ash Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 Stanislas in the 25 so its tripe. http://www.whufc.com/articles/20100901/25-man-squad-confirmed_2236884_2142162 He's in the under 21s so doesn't have to worry about being named in the 25. Even so he's way too good to come down here.
Jez Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 They'd rather play overpaid hasbeens like Dyer I think. Dyer was West Ham's player of the month for August, so perhaps too soon to write him off yet as a has-been. http://www.whufc.com/articles/20100906/dyer-takes-august-prize_2236884_2144626
rawspirit Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 Stanislas in the 25 so its tripe. http://www.whufc.com/articles/20100901/25-man-squad-confirmed_2236884_2142162 If you read the link again, you'll see he's NOT in the 25 man squad.
Nexstar Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 If you read the link again, you'll see he's NOT in the 25 man squad. He's U21 so it counts.
Doctoroncall Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 He's U21 so it counts. You didn't look at the link did you?
Nexstar Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 You didn't look at the link did you? He's not in the 25, but he can still play first team for West Ham.
SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 17 September, 2010 Posted 17 September, 2010 He's not in the 25, but he can still play first team for West Ham. This is correct. For anyone who wants to understand this, take a look here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/8858634.stm I think that explains it pretty well, but, basically, clubs have a 25-man squad of over-21 year olds which can then be supplemented by any of their under-21 year olds.
Doctoroncall Posted 18 September, 2010 Posted 18 September, 2010 He's not in the 25, but he can still play first team for West Ham. Exactly, so can easily be loaned out. Not that we have a chance.
