Gary Madine from Carlisle? Tall, young, not slow and probably quite cheap. Scored against us in the JPT Final with a header.

is he the lad that got in trouble for a fight in a nightclub & ended up in court? seem to remember reading his apology to the fans before the jpt

Luton manager Richard Money has hinted that he may be willing to let Tom Craddock leave after interest from a football league club.

We were linked with him last summer, is he the Rickie back up?

To be honest, Pitman signing for Blackpool is no different to Swindon signing Charlie Austin. Austin was unproven but Swindon gambled and he made the jump easily. Blackpool could've made a very good, clever signing there.

S****horpe forum reckons it's Oxford that have made the first move but Saints and S****horpe are also interested.

Bit confused - i watched sky sports yesterday and it reported that Bournemouth REJECTED Blackpool's offer for Pitman. Did that change? Was a better offer put in?

Yep, initial bid was 400k. Bournemouth told them what he was worth (1M) - Blackpool matched it.

I think that Macken could be a useful signing. A powerful striker with an eye for goal but would he turn down 1st team football at Walsall to come and warm the bench for us?

That would be a top signing and a good partner/replacement for Lambo. Unfortunately I don't believe it will happen. In fact I will be surprised if we get anyone other than a loan or two now.

I think we can forgive the club over the last week for lack of activity to state the obvious but we have put ourselves in abit of position with regards to lack of time to get the 2 or 3 players in we need for serious promotion push!

We are given the world and we still want for more. We always seem to be one or two players away, will it ever stop.

We were given the world (minus a winger, striker and central midfielder) ;)

The world never stands still. Since then we have gotten rid of 13 who where never going to play first team football hear. Sadly we also lost Antonio, who gave us speed and unpredictability and Waigo who also gave us goals and the possibility to play up front, and we have replaced these attacking options with two right backs and a left back. That's the situation we're in now, which looks in need of new attacking alternatives. A back-up for Lambert and an additional centre midfielder have been discussed for months. I don't feel convinced that a promotion is certain before we have dealt with these issues.

Then, later on, things will change again and we will need other players to keep progressing. Hopefully we will not then have the reserves full of players that nobody wants to buy, or even taking on a free.

Slightly off topic I know, but did we ever get to the bottom of Pulis' contract situation?

Is he set to be released at the end of the month or have we, rather stupidly if so, agreed to give him another 12 months?

Southend fan posting on an Aldershot fans website seems to think that AP was watching Anthony Grant at the Shots v Southend game on Saturday. Apparently he had a poor game much to their relief.

Unfortunately, we cannot get rid of Pulis until we are back in the Prem

(Pulis Snr negotiated the contract for his son )

You mean to say that he has got a possible lifetime contract!? Since I find that rather difficult to believe, even though senior no doubt was involved, can you tell who your source is?

Bournemouth accept offer for Brett Pitman from Blackpool - -solent

solent saying he is back with Bournemouth today due to turmoil at Blackpool. The accepted bid was £600,000.

It was a tongue in cheek comment due to the seeemingly "neverending" Wonder Contract of a person who, IMHO, is the worst "player" ever to have worn Saints colors

( I wish I was that beleievable all the time )

Well, for once i can say that I am in the know on this one, as heard it from Mr Pitmans mouth. I was just sitting on a cross country train just behind him, and his mates including a Saints player (Lallana?) kept phoning him to see what was happening, he said that at the moment it looks like he will join Brizzle City on Sunday evening, but that the skates were also interested in talking to him and had made a decent offer, but he's unsure of whether they have the cash to back it up. Also said that Brizzle had made a good offer but that with add ons it was a very good offer. Shows he made the right choice where Blackpool were concerned if they made him go home on the train. Holloway throwing a strop perhaps!
