Derby will consider loan offers for Luke Varney despite the striker making his first start for the club in 15 months on Saturday.

Perhaps worth a loan?

Could easily do a job for us. Not got a proven goal scoring record but could offer an alternative and good backup.

Still want Rowan Vine though.

Most probably knows Seaborne aswell so he could put in a good word about us :)

I'll be honest I've never heard of him. What sort of midfielder is he? Good prospect?

Top class attacking midfield player. Very mobile and skillful with a very good shot. Links up play

team player with a whole hearted approach. Definately ccc standard.

Lee would represent a good signing. In some games, we could play both Lambert and Lee. Either way, Lee would allow us to rest Ricky from time to time and he would still get plenty of games in the three cup competitions.

A good point and well made Mr Gilchrist! I remember a friend of mine at work saying something similar to this a couple of weeks ago when I mentioned Alan Lee as a possible signing!

Sounds impressive then! Seems like he is the missing midfield man we've been after for a while!

I thought Harley looked a really decent footballer when Exeter played us on Boxing Day.

Good on the ball, two good feet, skillful with a eye for a pass, just what we need.

I heard he loves a good cliche too. Lets just hope he sets out his stall early, at the end of the day he could be what we need.

The world's least successful football rumour-ologist' date=' Rocket Swanie over on 606, has posted that we're after Liam Feeney of Bournemouth. One of his more believable rumours, to be fair, but primarily because he's saying he found it in one of today's press.[/quote']

Haven't watched him play for a while - Was he the reason Ryan Dickson got subbed at half-time?

Always had good potential, but at the time, I always figured he was no better than Jake Thomson.

(Shows what I know!)

Bit of paper talk about players we've been linked with:

Rangers have handed former Sheffield Wednesday winger Etienne Esajas the chance to earn a contract at Ibrox by taking the 25-year-old Dutchman on trial.

Leeds manager Simon Grayson is interested in signing former Aston Villa and Manchester City striker Darius Vassell, who is a free agent.

I'm well aware of that! But it seems Agyemang really doesn't want to leave the capital for whatever reason. Not sure whether he'd be willing to drop down to League One either!?

i think he doesn't want to drop down, i've always seen him as a bit of himself. But still would be a very good player for us

pacey, tall, strong....can't ask for much more at this level

Edgar Davids CDAJFU on a one year contract, he'd be quality! Really intelligent midfield general, very experienced at the highest levels and he's got a very cool head as well.

Agyemang was playing for QPR in L1 not that long ago (I think), and he could commute down from London I suppose. He's got pace and strength, he could easily play alongside Lambert, Barnard or Connolly so he wouldn't always be back-up.

Good to see our move of pulling out of the reserve league is working well :)

But anyhow, Marcus Bent anyone?? McLeish has said his long term future lies away from Birmingham.

You'd expect that AP would of seen it or heard about it.

Why not as it was probably us that arranged the friendly in the first place.

TBF its a decent standard of opposition against a young side, i don't mind the reserves getting tonked every now and again if in the long run it produces good players.

I can certainly see us getting Bent, if not one of the younger Brum players that played in that match, as it seems a fair way to go for just a friendly match..
