Just seen that, massive bloke he is, but another left-back?!

barely anything from the ITK player- only thing he's heard/seen is that Waigo flew back with the squad on their flight.

Would love it if we signed Waigo, my kids proper love him. They sing their own song for him to the tune of Papparazzi.

You've mentioned a load of players that we're meant to be looking at/might sign from your ITK player. Have any of them signed yet? The ones we have signed so far haven't been said by you yet. I'm not sure if your ITK mate actually knows what's going on. I'll be happy to be proved wrong though.

Breaking news

elokobi is moving to southampton between £1m–£1.5m

details being discussed today.

http://www.football-rumours.co.uk/

don't believe anything on that website. I've sent crap to that site before just to see, and low and behold it was published within 24 hours

you can send them anything. It's like an internet based transfer window for football manager.

This is what was on there -

''On 21 july 2010 Elokobi signed for league 1 side southampton for an undisclosed fee believe to be between £1m- £1.5 milion pounds after turning down local rivals Portsmouth on the grounds that he wanted to make a protest against that clubs criminal abuse of its creditors trust.''

made me lol

I'd love to see Papa Waigo back but sadly can't see it. We won't get a player like him in again. Has anyone confirmed this rumour of Papa coming back or being with the squad in Switzerland or is it just another made up internet rumour?

I heard a taxi rumour that he didn't get on at all with Pardew, that was from a taxi driver who 'drove the players every now and again'

So pinch of salt is possibly required

Southampton have told Rochdale to name their price for sought after defender Craig Dawson. Despite interest from Middlesbrough, Dawson would move to Saints as he sees their future as a very bright one thanks to the investment from billionaire owner Markus Liebherr. Alan Pardew has said he will match any bid put on the table.

Dale however have told Southampton they will not tell them how much they want so it will be up to Southampton to bid what they think the player is worth.

Boro have already had a £400,000 bid turned down, a bid of over £500,000 should be enough.

It is believed that Alan Pardew sees him as a replacement for veteran defender Radhi Jaidi

Seems a a good player and a good investment. We're not crying out for another centre half and the lad, according to the BBC, wants to join Middlesbrough. I reckon someone has made this up or at best it's his agent trying to generate some interest.

It's from football-rumours so is utter utter rubbish.

Charlton and Huddersfield are after David Mooney, who's been told he'll not be featuring in the Reading first team. Would be a useful addition as the additional striker we need, IMO, if we were after him too.

Nothing to suggest we are after him, just a thought.

shame because he (Dawson) is a decent player with great potential as well. I'm far from convinced by Seaborne or Martin so personally I'd welcome another CB signing and he's the crop of the league 2 players thats for sure.

Have you seen Martin play for reserves/easleigh/salisbury? I ask as he has only featured for the first team twice. I didnt make it to Gillingham away, but against Southend he looked pretty comfortable. He is very young and to me seems like a very good prospect.

As for Seabourne... I feel a warm gloopy substance trickling down the back of my legs every time the ball goes within 20 yards of him.

I know nothing concrete has linked us with him but apparently Dawson has handed in another transfer request (first one was turned down).

Would be a cracking signing for any Championship side, let alone league 1.

You only need to read the quotes from the Rochdale manager to see it is because of the Middlesborough interest.

I've not seen him in the reserves or for Eastleigh (not that either is a great place to judge him) - how has he looked? In the Gillingham game I thought he looked poor, extremely nervous (which is understandable), poor on the ball, slow to turn and not at all dominating in the air. Not every Saint felt that way though. I was one of the few non drinkers that day I might add. I'm sure he will improve and I'm not judging him on those couple of games I'm just stating what I saw.

Seaborne does not dominate in the air, that is his biggest problem. He is reasonably quick and not too bad on the ball, but if you don't win headers at this level you get caught - as we did for a couple of years with the likes of Perry and Thomas (neither ever good enough in the air IMO). Funnily enough he looked quite good at Gillingham, but that was in comparison with Fonte who had an asbsolute shocker.

Of all the positions you'd think CB would be Pardews area of expertise. Jahdi and Fonte have been tremendous signings, maybe in time the other two lads will be great as well. Time will tell.

Why? ... he played in midfield for Palace.
