Lets B Avenue Posted 27 April, 2010 Share Posted 27 April, 2010 Hants won toss & batted. Unchanged from Durham championship match. 53-2 with Carberry 35*. Adams out for 3, Ben(ham) the legend 8. Following this on the BBC On-line commentary as the score updates from the PA are seriously slow today. We were 18-2 but Carbs has got a shift on in the last 6 overs

Marsdinho Posted 27 April, 2010 Share Posted 27 April, 2010 What the f*ck is going on with Hants this season.... Actually, I know exactly why....its because I cant have more than one decent team in my life. Now that Saints are on the up, Hants will be on the slide. Leicestersaint Posted 27 April, 2010 Share Posted 27 April, 2010 140 for 5 - without Carberry we would be up the creek without the proverbial. Severeal of them are clearly out of sorts (eg Benham).
Lets B Avenue Posted 27 April, 2010 Author Share Posted 27 April, 2010 186-5 Ervine 37* Pothas 34*. Recovery from 120-5 when Carbs out for 74. By his standards a low score as his two best scores were both against Warwicks. 192 in 07 and 204 last year. Score updates on both Sky and BBC both nearly an hour behind. stevegrant Posted 27 April, 2010 Share Posted 27 April, 2010 Why the hell is Benham batting at 3? Where is Dominic Cork? McKenzie's turned out to be an inspired signing so far...
Lets B Avenue Posted 27 April, 2010 Author Share Posted 27 April, 2010 Cork is 12th man. He only got back from the IPL on Saturday and was pitched straight into the sunday game at Durham as Kabir Ali was unwell. Obviously short on match practise after hobnobbing with the indian tax dodgers (allegedlly) and was due to play for 2nd XI yesterday. Pothas just fallen to Jonathan Trott FFS. Out for 40 odd. Lets B Avenue Posted 28 April, 2010 Author Share Posted 28 April, 2010 124-7 at lunch. Kabir has been the star bowler. However, after numerous edges for 4 they are 10 runs away from avoiding the follow-on.

Typical though I'd doubt we would enforce the follow on anyway, this pitch is only going to get worse. A lead of 100+ should do nicely.
Born In The 80s Posted 28 April, 2010 Share Posted 28 April, 2010 Well, the 100+ lead has gone! We now lead by 84, with Woakes and Carter now going well. 199-8 Very poor considering were we had them. Let them off the hook big time.
Lets B Avenue Posted 28 April, 2010 Author Share Posted 28 April, 2010 Woakes got 131* against us last year, which was his first 50 let alone ton. History repeating itself. Carter opens their 1 day side and gives it the log-handle. Tea score 272-8 Woakes 75* Carter 59*

Window Cleaner Posted 28 April, 2010 Share Posted 28 April, 2010 They were 100 for 7 when I looked earlier now 327 for 9 382 all out Are we skint? Is this a cricketing version of Saints 2008/9?
