After results today pre season has to start monday morning

 

IMHO we have had a good season playing some real good football

 

But lets start preparing for august now try to get any new players here asap so that they can bond with team

 

Lets make sure that next april we are promoted with games to spare

Could be a first pre-season in a while where we are not arsing about with two make shift sides against the likes of Farnborough and Basingstoke and maybe start with a settled side that is strong and up and running.COYR

Tbf I went to both of these games in the pre-season and the majority of the side was made up of youth and reserve players, hence us being billed as a 'Saints XI'. The first team were 'arsing about' playing Hearts, Lazio and QPR.

Sorry what i meant was this side staying together and kicking off next seasons pre-season as a strong unit,not to much feckin about.

No worries, I completely agree with that. We can't have a start like we did last year, we need to hit the ground running and that means being 100% for the start of the season. Imo we need to start our pre-season ASAP, perhaps doing a tour of a European country (Switzerland anyone?) and then catching up with a few games against local opposition to help them out (Totton, Eastleigh etc, who I think we're contractually obliged to play in pre-season anyway). It's vital that we get ahead as soon as possible, and that means being ready to win the majority of our first 10 games to establish ourselves as leaders in the league.

next seasons pre season will be entirely different to this seasons one.

it will be organized by people experienced in the english game, with a settled squad

i am sure we will buy players but not in vast numbers so intergration will be easier.

I cannot stand pre-season friendlies they go on far to long in Championship manager and do not mean a thing apart from match fitness!

Cannot argue with any of that, when does the transfer window open? I cannot remember for the life of me when this starts, this forum gets better in terms of humour at the same time as well.
