Liquidshokk Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 A Sign of things to come? Hmmm... now where have i seen that before.
doggface Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 Gone on put it on yet another thread and it might then become really funny.
ponto1963 Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 (edited) So when do they normally announce the new kit. How long will we have to wait? Edited 19 May, 2010 by ponto1963
Scudamore Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 So when do they normally announce the new kit. How long will we have to wait? Always leave them wanting more. They're not gonna shoot their load and give us all the info we want in one go. No. I'd expect the season ticket news first. Then a few of days later will come the kit news.
Belsey23 Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 This new kit could be a longer time coming than Rudi Skacel was!!
Elias Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 This new kit could be a longer time coming than Rudi Skacel was!! Has Skacel signed yet?
SFC Forever Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 This new kit could be a longer time coming than Rudi Skacel was!! Didn't know that you knew Rudi that intimately.
doggface Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 (edited) pretty quiet on this. There is still no launch date agreed for the kits yet, (just for Arizona though) have been told home likely to be released mid to end of June. Away likely to be launched on the day of one of our home friendly fixtures. Edited 22 May, 2010 by doggface

Cestrian Saint Posted 22 May, 2010 Posted 22 May, 2010 & on thursday, Friday & Saturday, chilled on Sunday Bo What was it you said earlier? Oh yeah. 'Gone on put it on yet another thread and it might then become really funny'... Whatever that's supposed to mean?

saint_mears Posted 23 May, 2010 Posted 23 May, 2010 red and white stripes to be fair ala previous umbro kit in 70s
Bensfcno1 Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/athletic-bilbao-centenary-home-shirt-1011_6892 Interesting! this is Athletic Bilbao's centenary kit by umbro!
Cricketphilly Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/athletic-bilbao-centenary-home-shirt-1011_6892 Interesting! this is Athletic Bilbao's centenary kit by umbro! Not a bad shout I suggest Ben
once_bitterne Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 Not a bad shout I suggest Ben Nah, it needs to have a sash. After all, the sash IS Saints! Save Our Sash!!!!
capitalsaint Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 if umbro have marketing similar to this cheeky number, i'll be chuffed. http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/rangers-home-shirts-1011_7324

Matthew Le God Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 Blue? u colour blind? drunk? Mad? or a fish lover in disguise? He said "marketing" not kit design/colour! i.e. the use of an old photo with David Weir blended in wearing the 10/11 Rangers shirt which also reflects Rangers history.
fish fingers Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/athletic-bilbao-centenary-home-shirt-1011_6892 Interesting! this is Athletic Bilbao's centenary kit by umbro! You might be on to something there.
doughnutman Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 Wouldn't complain if it was similar to the Athletic Bilbao kit as it looks pretty good! Also hope they promote it they way they are doing the Rangers kit!
doggface Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 The Bilbao one has already been posted previously. I quite like it but I don't think ours will look like that or be reversable.
100%Red&White Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 if umbro have marketing similar to this cheeky number, i'll be chuffed. http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/rangers-home-shirts-1011_7324 Interesting to read the comments below that from Rangers fans, 'Godders', who also says he's looking forward to Southampton's new one!
Mmm Donuts Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 I like the Bilbao one, it looks like it may suit someone who isn't built like a pro footballer
The9 Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 Bilbao thing is already posted AND not their actual kit apparently, either.
bpsaint Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 The collar on that Bilbao shirt is awful, almost Harry Hill-esque! Hope our new shirt doesn't have one.
The9 Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 I don't get the collar hate from people regarding football shirts. It's a useful way for manufacturers to launch pretty much the same product repeatedly yet still with a noticable change to it.
SNSUN Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 (edited) Anyone working or familiar with London Underground, like myself, will know the sash signal for trains is called a Shunt signal. (Used to move trains into the depots.) Thus, I shall be cheering "Come on you Shunts" next season. I do hope I'm not misheard by a steward. Edited 26 May, 2010 by SNSUN

SNSUN Posted 26 May, 2010 Posted 26 May, 2010 They are also commonly known as 'dummies'!!! Two faux pas phrases for next year then.
Bensfcno1 Posted 27 May, 2010 Posted 27 May, 2010 He said "marketing" not kit design/colour! i.e. the use of an old photo with David Weir blended in wearing the 10/11 Rangers shirt which also reflects Rangers history. Ok I apologise! I just saw blue and hated it!
Stattmeister Posted 27 May, 2010 Posted 27 May, 2010 If its white, with red detailing, and umbro, I think they've missed a trick if they fail to get it out prior to the World Cup given the obvious England link (for us English that is!)
Matthew Le God Posted 27 May, 2010 Posted 27 May, 2010 If its white, with red detailing, and umbro, I think they've missed a trick if they fail to get it out prior to the World Cup given the obvious England link (for us English that is!) Surely buying an official England shirt for £25 from Asda is better to do that purpose than a £40 red and white Saints shirt?
doughnutman Posted 27 May, 2010 Posted 27 May, 2010 Not in Asda Southampton though. Anyone know if they are in the Chandlers Ford one?? Can't get one online and as im currently in Cardiff will get a family member to buy one for me.
The9 Posted 27 May, 2010 Posted 27 May, 2010 Anyone know if they are in the Chandlers Ford one?? Can't get one online and as im currently in Cardiff will get a family member to buy one for me. They'll almost certainly have them in Asda in Newport which is right off Junction 28...
