Guided Missile Posted 23 April, 2010 Posted 23 April, 2010 **** moving abroad in the summer because his wife’s having an affair with a Derby County player and he has got a 16 year old pregnant and she’s keeping it. Apparently everyone in Liverpool has already accepted that he’s going. He’s was in court yesterday trying to prevent it coming out so Capello doesn’t kick him out of the World Cup Squad. Allegedly... ...shhhhhhhhh...
swannymere Posted 23 April, 2010 Posted 23 April, 2010 Bit late GM this was old hat yesterday. Steve Gerrard and Kris Commons like fast cars, allegedly.

EastleighSoulBoy Posted 23 April, 2010 Posted 23 April, 2010 Ah....the days when we had a decent Prime Minister.... There was another leader used to wave like that. He shot himself and his girfriend in a Berlin bunker. Any other similarities are only a matter of opinion.

swannymere Posted 23 April, 2010 Posted 23 April, 2010 Ah....the days when we had a decent Prime Minister.... Ah, Satan revealed in all her glory. Wasn't it Maggie who deregulated the City boys? Sold off all the council property on the cheap and generally made everybody a bit more me, me, me? Class act

Ruined British coal, schools, hospitals, british gas, the steel industry, british rail, the army, (at the time of the Falklands War we had about two peashooters and a catapault, she had cut the budget so much), and introduced rampant greed and government sanctioned corruption. Fooballers may oneday realise that models are not after them for their looks, eg Peter Crouch is not going out with Waynetta/Susan Boyle etc etc but Abbey Clancy In fairness to Crouch, I'm pretty sure he knows that. I saw an interview with him in a magazine once and he was asked what he would be if he wasn't a footyballer... he said, "a virgin".

Barney Trubble Posted 24 April, 2010 Posted 24 April, 2010 Tentatively linked to the Gerrard situation but found this amusing, just love the picture of Ribery and the quote below it. Can't say i'm surprised at anything that happens with footballers these days, it just seems that common sense and footballers don't go together. http://www.goalymoly.com/football-news/franck-ribery-admits-sleeping-underage-prostitute44433

St Landrew Posted 24 April, 2010 Posted 24 April, 2010 and still, blair has out done her in every way maggie is a puppy in comparison I remember Thatcher's words on entering 10 Downing St... Where there is discord, may we bring harmony. Where there is error, may we bring truth. Where there is doubt, may we bring faith. And where there is despair, may we bring hope. Yeah, I looked them up to make sure I got them correct. She was quoting St Francis of Assisi. The truth is... where there was discord, she made sure there was plenty. Where there was error, she added to it. Where there was doubt, she undoubtedly removed it for many, and replaced it with absolute despair. Don't runaway with the idea that because she was a great leader, that she was actually good for the country.

EastleighSoulBoy Posted 24 April, 2010 Posted 24 April, 2010 no matter how you slice it... compare the two legacys and the one for blair makes dark reading I don't think that Blair, Brown or Major oversaw a situation where personal greed, apart from bankers and MP's, was so prevalent among the population. The member for Finchley on the other hand.

Thedelldays Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 I'm sorry TDD, but you must be living in cloud cuckoo land, or you're just not old enough to have lived through the detail. IRAQ WAR...nothing is worse than that
Big John Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 A sailor who berates the warmongers! Only joking delldays, I actually agree with you. I believe that the Falklands was as much about demonstrating to us the Uk public how no-nonsense she was. From that point on no-one dare mess with her, well not unless they were desperately fighting to protect the very fabrc of the societies that they grew up in and which made for decent communities. Even Army estates don't have the same community spirit as they once enjoyed nowadays.
dubai_phil Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 IRAQ WAR...nothing is worse than that Correct. Maggies fecked the financial system and much of the morals of the UK. Blair was complicit in fecking the world. At least with Maggie, her decisions did not lead to innocent people having their heads cut off with a blunt knofe live on the internet. Both equally bad, but Blair did it "allegedly illegally"
hamster Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 Correct. Maggies fecked the financial system and much of the morals of the UK. Blair was complicit in fecking the world. Both equally bad, but Blair did it "allegedly illegally" Don't recall youtube being around back then phil, I am sure stuff like that happened in fact some might say we were more tolerant to it in her day as there was less public knowledge of it and of course we did support some of the regimes, as of course we still do i suppose. End of the day she was, is and always will be a heartless son of a ..in my eyes. I'm quite a forgiving sort on the hole but I can't ever forget what i saw happen to my own family and my birthlace in the wake of her heartlessness. Being right doesn't always necesarily make you right, if you know what i mean and I certainly don't entertain the 'cruel to be kind' view of her methodolgy. Cripes, it was as if she was at war with some of the people of this country! Just WHAT was her problem, seriously, what makes someone grow into such a monster as she was?
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 IRAQ WAR...nothing is worse than that How about sinking a battleship when it is cruising AWAY from a possible conflict?
Thedelldays Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 How about sinking a battleship when it is cruising AWAY from a possible conflict? yes..that is probably on par with the whole Iraq war...
dickyhale Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 I heard Harry Redknapp next manager 50/1 with VC bet
Kadeem Hardison Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 yes..that is probably on par with the whole Iraq war... I agree with thedelldays and EastleighSoulBoy on this one.
Colinjb Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 How about sinking a battleship when it is cruising AWAY from a possible conflict? Crucially, An enemy battleship in wartime. Absolutely the right call.
eastleighhalo Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 Crucially, An enemy battleship in wartime. Absolutely the right call. Yep .. and the belgrano laden with fully armed combat troops..no question that it was the right call. Thatcher may have been a few things unsavoury to some but the lady had iron balls when it came to British sovereignty and pretecting our borders.

Dont get me started please. Sorry to correct you but i think you will find that it was the labour govt that initiated the cuts to the armed forces in 77...including the disbandment of 16 parachute brigade..and in one foul swoop our emergency response time to such an event as the falklands was diminished from 72 hours ( as it would have been had the para brigade been left alone) to 3 bloody weeks to sail the battalions down there!..of course by which time the argies had time to reinforce and prepare defensive positions. Lessons were learnt very quickly post falklands and an airborne brigade was reformed soon after. Airborne all the way !! God and the next king are airborne!! Airbore soldiers dont die..they go to hell and regroup!! Just in case you were interested lol

View From The Top Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 Yep .. and the belgrano laden with fully armed combat troops..no question that it was the right call. What a load of boll*xs. Full ships company onboard an aging cruiser, nothing more so please don't make things up.
Thedelldays Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 How about sinking a battleship when it is cruising AWAY from a possible conflict? also, im sure the commanding officer of the Belgrano has since admitted that the sinking of his ship WAS legit..and hasnt the argy govt also said the same since..??
View From The Top Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 It was a legitimate target in a time of conflict regardless which direct she was steaming at the time of engagement.
dubai_phil Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 Sinking an enemy Battleship in a war zone. Sad. Being responsible for the deaths of over 100,000 people so far, and helping to set up the opportunity to ensure that almost every support or logistics contract went to his good friends in the US. And of course many of those 100,000 left behind friends loved ones and relatives who now want nothing more in life than to find a way to drop a nuke into the US or the UK. Oh and Hamster it was not about You-Tube. Terry Waite is an example. Blair - potentially guilty of genocide and feathering the financial nest of "important contacts" Thatcher - guilty of destroying the moral fabric of the Country Brown - guilty of incompetence (Cameron & Clegg - guilty of being vacuums) Whole fecking LOT of them have been corrupted by being in Westminster and losing touch with reality, caring not a jot about YOU but about their careers
Thedelldays Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 It was a legitimate target in a time of conflict regardless which direct she was steaming at the time of engagement. it is true...people get confused with the 200 mile exclusion zone and get all excited about it.. that exclusion zone was for ANY OTHER shipping...the UK had already declared to the argy govt that the WHOLE SOUTH ATLANTIC was an "operational theatre"..a message they acknowledged... so, sinking a battle ship that could have wrecked complete havoc on the task force (which probably would have cost us the war and hundreds more lives) was completely the correct thing to do - as well as lawful
Sheaf Saint Posted 25 April, 2010 Posted 25 April, 2010 It was a legitimate target in a time of conflict regardless which direct she was steaming at the time of engagement. Exactly the way I see it. You can't invade another country's land and then complain that it's not fair cos they sunk one of your ships.
