dune Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Just had a wee flutter on skybet. £1 on NC to say Trident in his opening speech. £1 on GB be first to say Volcano. £1 on Afghanistan to be the first country mentioned. £1 on DC to put his hands in his pockets first.
Arizona Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 I live a 5 minute walk from the art gallery. I normally run right past it every day, but today the bridge was blocked off by Police and there were TV crew everywhere. I might head back later and chuck a bag of flour at David Cameron. I've got nothing against the guy, but perhaps he could make a decent quiche.

(BTW read that article i've put on the volcano thread, think you'll find it interesting.)
Colinjb Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 lol @ Gordon Brown trying to get everyone to take personality out of the frame. Fair points but utterly futile.
Colinjb Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 cameron is more on form tonight IMO Agree, Clegg is continuing on form too. Brown looks lost and panicky.
Colinjb Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 And brown made the audience laugh! I was laughing at him, to be fair. Belittling his opponents while smiling like a smug tw*t.
doubleonothing Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Wonder if Gordon's got any more rehearsed lines like his bath one?
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Wonder if Gordon's got any more rehearsed lines like his bath one? It wasn't his line, it was Mandleson's.
Colinjb Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Gordon Brown in arguing for something I agree with shocker! Jesus!!!!
Ludwig Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 they shot clegg down about trident The complete dismissal of simply a 'review' from Brown and Cameron was somewhat ridiculous, however.
Thedelldays Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 The complete dismissal of simply a 'review' from Brown and Cameron was somewhat ridiculous, however. there is nothing to review though according to them...I agree
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 £1 on GB be first to say Volcano. Clegg. Unlucky.
Saintandy666 Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Clegg mentioned volcano first! Dune, you lost.
SO16_Saint Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 I though this debate was on foreign affairs? WTF has climate change got to do with the price of fish?
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 This has got a dull 0-0 written all over it. Will Pards make any tactical changes at half time?
doubleonothing Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Does cleggs "volcanic" count in the volcano bet?
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 WTF has climate change got to do with the price of fish? Warmer waters = less indiginous fish in the northern Atlantic = more expensive halibut HTH
Thedelldays Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 clegg is getting shot down by gordy quite a bit tonight
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Does cleggs "volcanic" count in the volcano bet? If it's the same referee as we had on Tuesday vs Oldham then he will have missed it.
Colinjb Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 clegg is getting shot down by gordy quite a bit tonight Mandy realised that they are stealing their key votes. It makes sense.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Brown looks like he's had a makeover. I reckon Cleggy must be pleased to have Compo on his left and Foggy on his right.
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 clegg is getting shot down by gordy quite a bit tonight They must have Mandleson on the remote control this evening
Channon's Sideburns Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Hand movements HurdyGordy...bet the Mrs wishes you moved your hands near her like that. Anyone seen him out for one of 'his daily runs' anywhere?
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 People falling asleep in the audience. This really is Saints vs Oldham all over again.
Colinjb Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Brown grinning like a goon His dissmissive grin when he dissagrees with either Clegg or Cameron is really insulting me.
Thedelldays Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 People falling asleep in the audience. This really is Saints vs Oldham all over again. doesnt help that they have asked stupid questions....THE POPE ffs
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 I thought this was supposed to be a debate. How was a question about the Pope ever going to evoke disagreement between three prospective leaders of the UK?
Thedelldays Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 I thought this was supposed to be a debate. How was a question about the Pope ever going to evoke disagreement between three prospective leaders of the UK? isnt the pope classed as a Head of State..? is would be protocol to give his a state visit ffs
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Sky doing an advert for one of their own shows - that'll please the BBC who are streaming this on their news channel
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Restoring Faith in Politics - Didn't we have this topic last week (around expenses)?
doubleonothing Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Didn't they cover this last week? Gordon's mouth dropping thing still amuses me.
doubleonothing Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Might see if I can get odds on clegg saying "old parties" in next weeks. Bit if a catchphrase for him.
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Gordon Brown: "Trans-pair-ent" It's trans-par-ent Gordon, "Trans-par-ent"
trousers Posted 22 April, 2010 Posted 22 April, 2010 Pensions. First question that is directly questioning existing Government policy.
