If the Saints lads are looking at prison sentences of up to five years for fence-rattling and pulling angry faces, I do feel sorry for these goons in the article above, they may not get to see their kids again if the sentences are consistent as they'll be banged up for life.:p

Rough justice eh!

That story cant be true, there is no preganant woman and 85 year old man running for their lives.

OMG!!!

I see Turkish and Essruu in that video.

I shall be forwarding a copy of that video on to Hants Constabulary.

Standby for the knock you thug.

On a serious note... it is the scarfers giving them grief and the 'casuals' who are walking past the car without attacking it, infact actually preventing trouble.

So can we now all agree that it's infact people that wear replica merchandise who are the thugs and not the ones who like to dress smartly?

Lol.

Yep, those lads will get hammered 2 to 4 years and reading the report I think none of them did anything more than shout "Come on" with their arms out stretched!

But that newspaper will report it with their standard lines of how it resembled a scene from Braveheart, people were running for their lives and a pregenant woman and 85 year old pensioner were forced to take cover whilst some nameless eyewitness will speak of their terror. In fact i could probably write it the report of events now and get it more or less word for word.

I thought that report was written by a 12 year old kid so with me being an illiterate fool I wont bother doing any reports of events. ;)

£864.32 repair costs???

I cannot imagine a wing mirror or little dent costs that much to fix!

I'd imagine, much like an insurance claim after a car accident, the owner is entitled to have the car restored to exactly as it was before the incident, probably meaning buying new parts and the cost of the labour to fit them. Wing Mirrors are surprisingly expensive. I don't find that price shocking at all.

I do think £300 fine and a 3 year banning order is a little steep for banging a bus window though.

If this happened anywhere but the football then you'd get a ticking off by a copper and be told to go on your way.

No they aren't. My girlfriend has just replaced the wing mirror (with an indicator built in) for £17.90 on her 6 month old Mk6 Golf.

Actually, they really are, especially if you go through the main dealership to do it. The mirror of my old BMW got knocked off a while back; just to replace the plastic mirror cover through the dealers would have cost £130 as they were only sold in matt black and had to be sprayed to suit the colour of the car. Of course I just bought the matt black one for £25 and can of spray paint. But if the whole wing mirror gets replaced, including all the internal wiring and mechanics etc, I imagine the main dealership would charge an absolute fortune for that.

They sound like a right couple of dicks to be honest.

Apparantly there was a "young child sat nearby"!!! (probably on the next coach but heyho). They forgot to also mention the disabled person, the blind kid, the deaf mute (oh, probably not), etc. all severly traumatised by these events.

He was lucky to get off so lightly.

But that's a BMW dealer - they are masters of eliciting more money from you.

As said, main dealer for a complete wing mirror VW on a Mk6 Golf, which is about 6 months old ... we were charged £17.90 for the casing, indicator housing and wiring.

The car in the report was a Ford Focus, I can't imagine that costing much more - hence the "bill for repair" seems ludicrous.

Well she was driving a Ford Focus, so even being generous from a ford dealer you are looking at what, £100 tops, so what did the other £700 odd go on?

Who knows; perhaps the kick to the car also made a dent that had to be dealt with.

Its a very high price, I'm not denying that at all. If she had to bear the brunt of the costs then I'm sure she could have got a wing mirror re-done and dents knocked out for 100 - 200 maximum. However, once you start using the main dealers and they know they have an insurance company to fall back on for payment, they go the whole hog often by replacing whole parts or body kit that are only very slightly damaged.

I had a similar incident a few years back, with someone reversing into the back of my rear wheel arch. Went to go through insurance but the recommended garage they sent me to wanted £1500 to replace a whole load of the body, when there was only superficial damage to a small area. I ended up settling with guy who crashed into me so he didn't lose his no-claims and got a good body-shop I know to do the repairs for £75. Main dealership repairs are just a complete rip-off when it's an insurance-covered deal.

Anyway, quite what this has to do with the OP I'm not sure!!

The charge of 'Jeering' opposition fans I found laughable. Most of block 42 will be up in court next season...

Don't laugh mate - if the OB had there way all of block 42 would have banning orders!

Why stop at Block 42, the ob could have arrest all 30000 that afternoon, from both sides

Considering you can get a whopping great fine and a f3 year ootball banning order for being slightly intoxicated, I think he did quite well really.

FFS, they WILL NOT get a jail sentence. If, as Stu has said, all they did was 'push a few fences', their 'clean' records will be taken into account. They'll end up with 3 year banning orders, and a fine, with a suspended sentence.

Hello old post.

Why did you bring up that post? Are you Stu under a new account? Is that why the SRS is now banned?

Probably due to a lot of people saying they wont go to prision if all they did was shake a fence, with is all they did and they did.......
