Do any of you use this in the Southampton area? I am 'thinking' about starting this up, infact I had the business plan a few years ago... but didn't take it any further as I had other things on, it now seems there are quite a few in the area.

Do any of you use them? I don't think they promote themselves well enough though as until I Googled, I did not know they existed.

Nice little money maker and as there are a few companies already set up, the business license should be straight forward.

You will not be able to compete with the prices that Tesco, Morrisson etc can charge, so you may as well give up on the idea now :)

Perhaps you would be better off becoming a taxi driver if you fancy driving round the area visiting lots of Pikey's houses....

It is not competition for them... it is a late night delivery service charged at a premium when people are p!ssed and have more money than sense.

Delivering beer to p!ss-heads all over Southampton when they roll in from the pubs, realise there is no shops open and no booze in the fridge.

Still pretty sure being a taxi driver is your best bet if you want to drive all over Southampton visiting the houses of ****ed up Pikey's late at night...

I combine the two - phone a taxi and ask him to deliver a bottle, fags, pizza whatever. They never seem to mind.

They are very good prank call targets - I warn you.

There's one in London which is basically full of stuff like microwave pizzas, fags, f*ckloads of chocolate and f*ckloads of booze, that's been prank called many-a-time by me and my mates (I may add that this was a few years ago, it's just funny to prank somebody at 5am).

Despite having a number of one of these firms pinned on the kitchen wall at home and despite myself being ****ed most of the time, I have still yet to use it in the 4 or 5 years it has been there.

Depends on where you live, but if you've got the option of a 24 hour Tescos + cab run then you're going to do that (assuming you are not 'intoxicated' off your mind). In principle, I think it's a good idea, but you could sell it as a 'helpful dad' service - 'Dad can you go get a bottle of scotch, 4 doners and a bag of blow, don't forget the skins, and a cheese pasty'.
