Son of Bob Posted 20 April, 2010 Posted 20 April, 2010 ... he deserves a pat on the back for this one! http://en.espnf1.com/china/motorsport/story/15013.html I couldn't agree more with what he says.
Ponty Posted 20 April, 2010 Posted 20 April, 2010 Normally I'd agree with you but this year he has been a bit naughty. 2 stewards warnings in 4 races prove that. Racing through the pit boxes was pretty effing stupid.
Son of Bob Posted 20 April, 2010 Author Posted 20 April, 2010 Maybe the pit lane thing was a bit silly but Vettel didn't help the situation by squeezing him in there. If Vettel had moved to his left it would have meant it was safe for Hamilton to drop back in behind him but as it was Lewis risked suspension damage to him and the Red Bull if he'd braked to move back in. Vettel had a whole pit lane empty to his left so why force Lewis into the pit boxes? 50/50 in my eyes and a slap on the wrist for both was the right call. As far as the 'weaving incident' is concered all I'll say is 'mountain' and 'molehill'.
Barry the Badger Posted 21 April, 2010 Posted 21 April, 2010 I thought Hamilton should have yielded straight away when he realised he was half a car length behind. However once Vettel starting squeezing him into the pit boxes he was a bit stuck, and that was utterly stupid from Vettel.
