Big Ron fan Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 I know he's getting a lot of stick on here, but hasn't JP mainly been playing him wide in recent games, which is not his natural position? He started the season reasonably well I thought, particularly as he was having to play as a lone striker. In fact, JP seems to play more people out of position than Burley did, which I wouldn't have thought possible.

But I have also noticed that his first touch is woeful. IMO is not ready for the first team and his inclusion might be doing him more harm than good.
badgerx16 Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 IMO is not ready for the first team He's not the only one. Dyer has been living up to his name, and BWP is living down to our expectations, to name but two others.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 TBH, I can appreciate that he's being played out of position and this may affect his performance. For me, it's his attitude that concerns me; the on-pitch tantrums on Saturday were disgraceful - whatever happened to doing a job for the team??
Raven on the wing Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 How is it that a player who has failed miserably when out on loan at lower league clubs, suddenly became our main striker in the ccc ?
Saint_clark Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 Even when he was played up front he was sh*t, sh*t, sh*t. Drop the petulant tw*t FFS.
Weston Super Saint Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 How is it that a player who has failed miserably when out on loan at lower league clubs, suddenly became our main striker in the ccc ? I think he scored in the last two reserve matches of our winning season last year. Naturally that creates a sort of cult hero effect.
derry Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 The bloody problem is that McGoldrick who is picked to play wide, just won't do as he is told and plays everywhere but. If he is picked wide he should be made to play there. The midfielders expect the wing to be occupied. He is messing up our teamplay with his inability to follow instructions. It sounds like JP is too nice to him, he needs to teach him some respect.
