paulwantsapint Posted 16 April, 2010 Posted 16 April, 2010 Right who has the most impressive goal tally for the season? Rickie the 'proven goal machine' with 32 from cf Lallana the 'lightweight winger' with 19 from midfield In august I would have guessed that Rickie would net 20+ but over 30 with poss 8 more games is excellent I had hoped that Lallana might find his way to double figures but he has a chance to become the 1st saints midfielder since MLT 94/95 to get 20 goals in a season ( without taking pens or freekicks ok in a much worse league ) with poss 8 more games
the saint in winchester Posted 16 April, 2010 Posted 16 April, 2010 Or Southampton's Goal Machine aka Morgan Schneiderlin. :-)
fareham saint phil Posted 16 April, 2010 Posted 16 April, 2010 Or Southampton's Goal Machine aka Morgan Schneiderlin. :-) This completes this post as no one can think any different to that (smiley face thingy)
Andy_Porter Posted 16 April, 2010 Posted 16 April, 2010 Can't be Morgan or Lallana, I read a thread on here that they where both lightweight luxury players and we would be better off without them? Serious answer has to be Lallana, his goal tally is very impressive but I can't help feeling he should have done slightly better. He does seem to have the nack of getting into the right place at the right time now.
Berkeley Saint Posted 16 April, 2010 Posted 16 April, 2010 how can we get the announcer bloke (Stewart Dennis) to announce at the Southend Game when he does the team line up No. 7 Rickiiiieeee Lambert Southampton Goal Machine....

He has at most only 3 times gone 3 league games without scoring. A tremendous feat to consider when only Ron Davies went 3 games without scoring on only two occasions.1966-67 and ended up with 37 league goals.
Clifford Nelson Posted 16 April, 2010 Posted 16 April, 2010 There is also a player who has only started 10 games but nevertheless scored 11 goals this season. plus contributed a hatfull of assists...Well, who is that then?

St. Neil Posted 16 April, 2010 Posted 16 April, 2010 How about Harding, he has scored a few goals from left back albeit an attacking one.

Clifford Nelson Posted 16 April, 2010 Posted 16 April, 2010 Waigo? You've got it. It is quite sensational, but he's not given any credit.
