musesaint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Best chant of the night... "We were there when Morgan scored" And what a goal!!!
ladysaint Posted 13 April, 2010 Author Posted 13 April, 2010 A brilliant goal and did anyone else notice that he had different boots on tonight not his usual red ones.
ericofarabia Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 A brilliant goal and did anyone else notice that he had different boots on tonight not his usual red ones. Did he have matching socks
The Cat Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 He was brilliant. Helped no end by us playing with width and Hammond having a storming game. When we give Morgan time on the ball and have players making runs into the right areas he thrives and we become a different team. Loved the goal too. Hard to tell how far out it was from our end, but it had to be at least what, 65 yards?
SaintBobby Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 I wasn't there. But I wear his name and no. 19 on the back of my shirt. Top player. Totally delighted for him.
Bourno Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Did he have matching socks He did, they all wore plain red one's no hoops tonight.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 We were there Good game once again, fully deserved his goal.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Absolutely gutted that I wasn't there when he scored his first goal. I try to make every game but couldn't afford this one and just knew that he'd bloody score.
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Sadly not there, but got up at 4:45am to be on the forum when it happened. Was there when Franny scored and that is enough for me for one lifetime.
The Banana Factor Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Sadly not there, but got up at 4:45am to be on the forum when it happened. Was there when Franny scored and that is enough for me for one lifetime. Ditto! Got up same time to listen to Solent! Must say i got a little over excited when Morgan scored!

Mewsta Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Sadly not there, but got up at 4:45am to be on the forum when it happened. Was there when Franny scored and that is enough for me for one lifetime. Same here, landed in Sydney at 8pm yesterday! Had a ticket for the game too and was a little bit ****ed off when the company sent me out here... I knew it would be one I didn't want to miss!!!
ladysaint Posted 14 April, 2010 Author Posted 14 April, 2010 Did he have matching socks LOL no just new boots just seen Morgans goal on SSN and see he was pointing at his boots after he scored.
Saint137 Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Remember him hitting the bar with a similar shot in one of his first games at SMS? At that point I thought we had a proven midfield goalscorer on our books :s
ladysaint Posted 14 April, 2010 Author Posted 14 April, 2010 To all you guys who were there..... It's T Shirt time!!!!!!!!! :prayer: Would love a t shirt that said I was there when Benali, Claus and Morgan scored

CrickladeSaint Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Long time coming Morgan but a quality strike to break your duck! Well done, more of the same please!!
West End Saint Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Quality so glad I was there for Morgans goal what a belter and what a player didnt get home till 2 am went out on it to celebrate UTS
Chez Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 the last rod used to beat the lad (no goals) has disapeared. What a gem we have.
Marsdinho Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 This is going to develop into one of those situations where everyone you speak to was there.... I was there.
The9 Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 (edited) A brilliant goal and did anyone else notice that he had different boots on tonight not his usual red ones. Well of course... and his usual ones (at least for the last few matches) aren't "red", they're black Nike CTR360s with a red heel. He was wearing very plain black adidas adipure IIs with gold stripes at the start of the season, dunno why the change in manufacturer, maybe he didn't like the adipure IIIs. Pretty sure he shinned the goal anyway, so not sure why we're discussing his boots PS yeah I was there. Edited 14 April, 2010 by The9
View From The Top Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 He reminds me more of Steve Williams every game.
paulwantsapint Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Could this be the start of new goal scoring Morgan ?
Arizona Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 the last rod used to beat the lad (no goals) has disapeared. What a gem we have. No, he is still French.
dellboypete Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 He reminds me more of Steve Williams every game. have just seen THAT goal on SSN - he reminds me more and more of MLT - sublime at times
Saint_clark Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 On football manager, once Morgan gets his first goal he always scores sh*tloads.....
South City Si Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Am guttred as have flu and had to sell my tickets! Nevermind, well done Morgan, score at Yeovil and I'll be happy.
RonManager Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 We thought he'd scored the 4th as well when the scoreboard flashed his name up before announcing that AL had got it.
benjii Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Regardless of the goal, I thought it was the best game I've seen him have for Saints. If he be more consistent then he should have an awesome season next year.
LA77 Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Could this be the start of new goal scoring Morgan ? That's a good shout. He gets in good shooting positions but most of the time he would pass instead. Maybe lacking the confidence to shoot. If he starts adding vital goals we will be even stronger. what a great goal for your first!
Um Bongo Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 If that was scored in the premier league that would creamed over for the next 6 weeks or something. Awesome goal.
david in sweden Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Gutted I missed his first goal. and it might be his ONLY... ...(no, no perhaps not-) It was only Claus and Frannie who ended up with just ONE career goal.
david in sweden Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Absolutely gutted that I wasn't there when he scored his first goal. I try to make every game but couldn't afford this one and just knew that he'd bloody score. might be good if you hop over the Yeovil game, too then ...or ?
ladysaint Posted 14 April, 2010 Author Posted 14 April, 2010 and it might be his ONLY... ...(no, no perhaps not-) It was only Claus and Frannie who ended up with just ONE career goal. Thought Claus got 2 in the end but I maybe wrong.
krissyboy31 Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Thought Claus got 2 in the end but I maybe wrong. 2 for Saints. Several for Norway though!
Window Cleaner Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 LOL no just new boots just seen Morgans goal on SSN and see he was pointing at his boots after he scored. Look like T90s : Shooting boots...or so the Nike adverts would have you believe.
Ash Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 Thought Claus got 2 in the end but I maybe wrong. One against Wolves, one against Cardiff. Both against Dave Jones.
dellgirl Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 I h ate to say I told you so BUT at the begining of the season when I was a lone voice in the wilderness telling most of you that he would be a hero by the end of the season I was not believed especially by someone who posts a lot and lives up a mountain. I am thrilled he has come on so well and even more thrilled that most of the fans have also got behind him. He is a gem we must keep him. Well played Morgan, keep it up.
Window Cleaner Posted 14 April, 2010 Posted 14 April, 2010 (edited) He is a gem we must keep him. There is a piece about him in the "Latest News from Alsace" today (or maybe yesterday) Says he wants to play in the EPL but by participating in our drive upwards. Even talks about the "Arsenal interest". Says that being interested in something and actually buying it are two different things. Also says that if you reallyu want something then you buy it. It's a paying article so won't post a link but if you fancy giving your French a whirl it's up on the RC Strasbourg forum. http://rcstrasbourg.forumpro.fr/les-joueurs-du-racing-f13/ex-morgan-schneiderlin-southampton-t1175-120.htm#201483 Edited 14 April, 2010 by Window Cleaner
