Arizona Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 On here please. Anyone else ever felt so flat after a 5-1 away win? P.S. Up yours Ponty.
S41NTS Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Perfect apart from the huddersfield late win. This season just got very very exciting.
SydneyRich Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 First class performance. Keep the pressure on Saints...we CAN do this. Fantsastic.
SuperMikey Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Would've been a perfect night were it not for Huddersfield. Never mind, 3 points in the bag and we can look forward to our next game now!
Saintandy666 Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Obviously a great performance by us tonight. 5-1, wow. Still feel ****ed off though!
S-Clarke Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 that huddersfield result has put a damper on things, but i always had that as a home banker for them anyway... but arrrgh, winning 5-1 and i feel deflated. ****ing walsall, useless.
Amesbury Saint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 excellent result Saints come on Millwall on Friday night
DG Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Well done Saints. Just when you allow yourself to believe its cruelly taken away...ah football. Whatever happens next season is shaping up to be a pretty good one.
Asaint4ever Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Feck i was booming when we was only 5 points behind play off's with a game in hand! Feck you walsall!!!
Sheaf Saint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 What a disappointing anti-climax. Sorry Alps, couldn't resist it. On a more truthful note - stunning, stunning result. Shame Walsall couldn't hold on for the win or even the draw, but we can still get above Huddersfield - all is not yet lost.
doubleonothing Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Great result for us there tonight. Well done lads! And great support by the travelling fans. Never felt like this after a 5-1 though. Actually feel a bit let down with the Huddersfield result. Think it's cos they were loosing and then went to win it (from best case scenario to not quite worse). Would have bitten your hand off if this was offered before hand though! We can still believe!!!! COYR OOO
Saintjersey Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 I had us down drawing this game, and Huddersfield winning their game.... so I am being positive and say this is actually 2 points gained.
Toomer Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Emotions all over the place what a bloody great result away from home could have been even better if the Poles had hung on.
brightspark Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 IF only. we'd be so in there right now if Walsall had held on! It was as if we'd had our noses pressed against a window, and then had almost climbed all the way through until Novak slammed it back in our faces. Still 1-5, Schniederlin scores, result...
saints-cris Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 We did our job, and in style. Well bloody sone Saints. Fact is, I expected Huddersfield to win, so while its a shame they won, all we can do is win our games, then hope others mess up. We still have a game in hand and colchester are getting nearer. Still a great night for us.
Wycombe Saint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Feel slightly deflated. But Huddersfield will definately stumble, lets hope they lose against Milwalll. Great result tonight though, well done lads.
WESTIE SFC Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 I hate Huddersfield... Still keep it up boys, Huddersfield are still to play Millwall and Colchester! Great result!
Cascadia Saint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Can't think that way lads. We sound good at the mo, huddersfield sound ****. Still in it.
Rod Le Shearer Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 excellent night ! Come on lads, dont let the Hudd result get you down. the way they performed against a 10 men walsall at home suggest they will struggle enourmously against every other opponent that awaits them. If we win our last 5,WHICH WE WILL,the playoffs are ours
SNSUN Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 I've been following the scores tonight on SSN and I have to say, as amazing as our result is, I'm absolutely gutted. A 10 man Walsall going 3-2 up and losing 4-3 to the team we want to catch leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Even a bloody draw would have done. Irrespective of whether we can win every game this season, I still don't see us getting enough points to oust Huddersfield. Still, I'll be at the Oldham and Carlisle games with what little hope I have left cheering the lads on, and hoping that miracles happen... Delighted for Morgan - I knew he'd score eventually.
trousers Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Huddersfield Vs Walsall brings down the Saints forum shocker
Legod Third Coming Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Feck i was booming when we was only 5 points behind play off's with a game in hand! Feck you walsall!!! By Saturday afternoon we might still be, but just with four games to make it up... Squeaky bum time. Still what a season eh? What a bloody season. I LOVE it.
teamsaint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 would have settled for that set of results. Just wish the season went on another 10 games.
revolution saint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 that huddersfield result has put a damper on things, but i always had that as a home banker for them anyway... but arrrgh, winning 5-1 and i feel deflated. ****ing walsall, useless. Exactly - it was a home banker for them and they nearly ****ed it up. Nerves are kicking in for them......and they'll drop points.
St Mikie Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Keep the faith! Win all our remaining games and the others will c**k up at some time during the run in. All we have to do is get 100% behind the team. COYR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
monkadill Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 We will loose at Yovil - unfortunatly - thats saints!
Smirking_Saint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Although we won 5-1 i am absolutely gutted. I was saying all night to that huddersfield had to be expected to win at home to Walsall, that would have brought us right into it though and it has gutted me. Lee f*cking Novak. Will huddersfield f*ck up twice ?? Cos i can see us winning every game now.
Granadino Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Awesome performance, and I don't feel we should be too deflated after the Huddersfield result. Although gutting, they have obviously been extremely ropey against what we know are a horribly bad Walsall side, who had 10 men. If we beat Yeovil and Oldham and they lose to Millwall away, which I think is highly probable, we will still be only 2 points behind with 3 to play. One of their games is vs Colchester and they still go to Exeter, who we, Leeds and Swindon can vouch are no pushovers. Yes, if it had stayed 3-2 Walsall it would obviously have been better, but that late turnaround isn't the end of it yet.
alpine_saint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 F**K ME. And Walsall got so damn close. Bugger.
saint lard Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 We won 1-5 away from home. Yet, i feel gutted. Well done saints tonight, sounded brilliant all round. It aint over til it's over.
SaintRobbie Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 If we do this every week we'll bloody well hit the play-offs. Huddersfield will not keep this up... blimey I only wanted and expected survival this season... now I think we might just do this!! woot!!!!!
InvictaSaint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Well done Saints ; fantastic result. All we can do is keep winning and see where it takes us. Huddersfield just about beat 10 man Walsall with two goals in the final minutes. Hardly convincing on their part; they will slip up again and we just have to make sure that we are there to take advantage. The Force is with us, I feel.....
The Kraken Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Ah well, what an anti-climax to a promising season. Disappointing, but hardly unexpected. Serious work to do over the summer. Pardew needs to be more aggressive if he is going to get us promoted. Oh.
S4INT Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 I'm gutted - crazy... Need Huddersfield to continue to be as bad as they've sounded recently (without the luck...)
John Boy Saint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Pardew wants to sneak in at the last gasp this. result just keeps that dream alive. Well done boys
S-Clarke Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Although we won 5-1 i am absolutely gutted. I was saying all night to that huddersfield had to be expected to win at home to Walsall, that would have brought us right into it though and it has gutted me. Lee f*cking Novak. Will huddersfield f*ck up twice ?? Cos i can see us winning every game now. i can see exeter beating them, and i can see them dropping points against either millwall or colchester. This will go down to the last game. this result hasn't really changed too much, as long as we keep winning.
Miffy Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Proud of the team. Just stay focussed on our results, I have a feeling it will all come good.
monkadill Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssterday
S-Clarke Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 I can't see Huddersfield loosing twice i couldn't see them going behind 3-2 against 10 man walsall either! They really aren't very good
doddisalegend Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Brillant display. Well done to Morgan for finally getting that goal. Good revenge for the st Marys game as well. As I firmly believe the play offs aren't going to happen and have done for ages I can just enjoy the result with worrying about other results. (Of course if we do reach the play offs I'll be very happy.)
JustMike Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 I had us down drawing this game, and Huddersfield winning their game.... so I am being positive and say this is actually 2 points gained. i did the predict thing before the charlton game and had us getting 2 points from the 2 games so im well wrong, but happy :-)
Gigersaint Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 What a brilliant night of mixed emotions, got a feeling this is going to go to the last game of the season with the game against Southend being a real nail biter as last games of the season used to be at the Dell but this time for a different reason!
Saint_clark Posted 13 April, 2010 Posted 13 April, 2010 Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssterday All my troubles seemed so far away, now it looks as though they're here to stay....
