saintkiptanui Posted 11 April, 2010 Share Posted 11 April, 2010 Don't invest them all, what if they go pop before the end of the next season? I'd suggest a huge bet on Saints to win the league next season, if the bookies are offering 3/1 or more then I will be investing everything I have. RedAndWhite91 Posted 11 April, 2010 Share Posted 11 April, 2010 This thread just reminded me of my £3 on Pompey to go down at 4/1. Result!!!

saintkiptanui Posted 11 April, 2010 Share Posted 11 April, 2010 What sort of odds could I expect to get on a Saints to go up skates to go down double?I reckon saints will be evens at best and the skates with deductions evens at best, without 3or 4/1 so a double would pay 3/1 or about 8/1, all guess work of course. CFSt.Matt Posted 11 April, 2010 Share Posted 11 April, 2010 I put 5K on at 16/1 last August when I found out Shinawatra was the money behind Al Fahim and had bailed. I don't care if those c*nts win the FA Cup, I'm buying a (pension) flat and my nephew will have the best education I can afford. Despite what I'm watching, still smiling. dubai_phil Posted 13 April, 2010 Share Posted 13 April, 2010 A fiver on them not existing next season may be a good insurance coupled with a bet on double relegation.
Clapham Saint Posted 13 April, 2010 Share Posted 13 April, 2010 The 16/1 odds is a kind of giveaway TBH ! I got 11/1 for them to finish bottom. If I'd pulled my finger out a few days earlier it would have been 13/1. Only got 3/1 on them go down though.

Just out of interest, if you can afford to punt 5K on a bet couldn't you afford to stump up a fiver for full membership on here

Jimmy Gabriel's Halo Posted 14 April, 2010 Share Posted 14 April, 2010 Bet nobody can beat this one of mine - back in August I put £10 on the bottom 3 being Portsmouth, Hull and Burnley. At the risk of b@llsing it up by saying this, it should be a good drink. So far, so good though......
