pfc123 Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 Comparing a pointless match at our home ground to an FA cup semi final at Wembley? Yeah, and crucially one that we sold out with ease, rather than a 'life or death' game that was embarrassingly cancelled due to lack of interest.... Born In The 80s Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 Hahaha! You're completely deluded mate. What do you think about your recent away following (if that's what you can call it) at Wigan?
Saint_clark Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 Yeah, and crucially one that we sold out with ease, rather than a 'life or death' game that was embarrassingly cancelled due to lack of interest.... Mate, we had poured every spare penny we had into that club. In an interview about the match Leon Crouch said "the Southampton fans really need to prove how loyal they are here". That was a f*cking insult after we had all done everything we could. Also, FWIW, nearly everyone was going to buy on the day.
View From The Top Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 LOL at the deluded skate. You're the only one who actually thinks it sold out including the resident skates on here and like them (mack and mervo aside) you only crawl out from under your rock now. And now you're out you're trying to tell us that your unsold tickets being due to the FA not releasing them, despite folk being sat in the sparsely populated blocks. You really are a co*k. Yep, sh*t support us Saints. Maybe we should look up the The Worlds Greatest Fans and their mighty 153 at Wigan. Deluded, sad, co*k.

Um Bongo Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 Just shows how little you know. The seat sales were staggered, i.e. different stands on different days, then various supporters groups on different days, then members, finally general sale + 2000 extra released two days before by the F.A. ALL SOLD, accept it...... As I said, I don't know whether you sold the 2,000 out. I could have got a ticket if I wanted to. For an FA Cup semi final, that is, quite simply, ****e. The fact you then say you could sell them out 'two times over' is even more laughable. Still, one day, in a magical land, far far away, you might, just might, have support as good as us. Untill then, keep dreaming
SuperMikey Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 Correct. Seats not released by the F.A. for some reason. Don't know why- they'd have gone in minutes. What we were given were all sold out. Sorry, I know you'd all love it it they weren't but I'm telling you they were.... That's brilliant - you ever thought of writing a stand-up comedy set? It took your lot bloody ages to shift 33k tickets for an FA Cup Semi Final, it took us a lot less to sell 44k (plus more in the away end) for a 'tin pot trophy'. You might complain about tickets being held back by the FA, but I can see why they did considering the demand. Fact of the matter is, you're a Premier League club (but not for much longer), and we are a lowly League One club (but not for much longer). Even trying to defend taking 3 weeks to sell 33,000 tickets for an FA Cup Semi Final is pathetic.
