They won't be told! Like banging your head against a brick wall.

Maybe not everyone is aware of what an uber-amazing ITK you are.

Maybe they read a takeover thread.

Maybe they know that people change their mind.

SOmeone's said it before - stick Lallana, Morgan and Lambert in a wardrobe, stick a man with a machine gun outside, and keep them there all summer. We need signings, not sales, if we're to go up next season.

Wolves can bugger off. Although if they feel obliged to give us Surman back, we'll take him on a cheapy.

Earning 3 times what he does now soon becomes quite a draw.Im sure Baird is upset he doesnt get many games but Im sure he soon forgets as he sees his wage slip.

If AL believes in his own ability he would not be thinking he was going to warm the bench (whatever I believe would be the case)he will be expecting to set the world alight.

Baird is a regular in the Fulham side.

big gamble for any premier league club to take on him , great player for this league and championship but lacks real pace for the premier league , just like surman who has had no impact whatsoever at wolves . i couldnt see what team in the premiership would want him at a big price except at 2 million its a relativly small price for such a young player and worth a gamble . Hes worth a lot more to us in this division than 2-3 million . We are hardly skint !!!!

Well this is a business and every player has his price.

However the good news is that SFC can now dictate the terms if Wolves want him.

Although Lallana is a decent player at this level he could be replaced if needs be.

That said I personally hope he stays as I think both club and player would benefit if he remains at SFC.

I really am worried about loosing him. He is a player who can turn a game that we are struggling in and there have beeen quite a few games where we have needed individual skill to rescue us.

Players of his quality are actually few and far between. Added to that I would pay my money more to watch him than anyone else - just a personal preference......!

£5m nowhere near enough........

Perhaps he could show his commitment to Saints by signing a new contract. I know they mean little in football these days, but it shows he wants to stay. Does he not only have 1 year left anyway?

I dont follow Fulham but I thought he was getting a lot of abuse from their fans last season. Has that changed and is he playing every game?

yes..

again, people seem to think that you can step up from the CCC (or even league 1) and walk into a prem team..and if you immediately dont then you have to be a failure..

¨Premier League clubs can afford to have young players who don't do much for a season or so. There is no difference between an EPL club taking a punt on Lallana and taking a punt on some Serb or Mexican youngster who may or may not make the grade.

totally, he's a mainstay in their PL team and european teams. He's been a key part in their games against Juve and Wolfsburg.

glad he's stepped up tbh, because as you said - he got **** loads of stick when he first went there, but that was at RB - i don't think Roy plays him there, seems to be either CB or DM.

He was RB last night and played really well.

He did indeed.

I chuckled though when he tries to replicate his goal against Cardiff at one point :)

Good for him though.

So for all the speculation about Lallana interesting Celtic....

Celtic 0 Ross County 2 in the Scottish Cup Semi Final - and Celtic were hopeless.

If Adam needs any more reason why not to move (and I don't think he'll go anyway) then there it is.

Anyone still think Lallana is worth 5 million when now, back in the real world, Jonjo Shelvey is on his way to Liverpool for 1.7 million plus add ons ?

Yes. £2m now with future add-ons and sell on clause etc.

1) They aren't clones of each other so can't compare. Lallana is better imo and would cost more.

2) It is an initial £1.7m with more on future appearances.

3) Charlton have huge money problems and need the money to avoid administration in the summer. Therefore more likely to accept lower offers and not going to be picky.

This sums it up well...

4) Saints have a rich owner and can afford to turn down pretty much any offer.

5) Where does Fabian Delph fit into your argument?

Yes. Aren't Charlton selling because they are in financial need (hence he can not feature for them in any more games this season)?

Also, Shelvey starts on the bench a lot and doesn't score as many.

That is as much a reflection of Charlton's financial state as much as anything. They are desperate for investment, and without it, they may well be admin as well within the next 12 months.

SELL HIM and get in a left winger with a left foot, he is an ok player but when he plays the team lacks balance and shape.

Are you on a wind up?

You do realise right footed Lallana and left footed Puncheon swap wings constantly throughout games and he has nearly 20 goals this season?

why do you want to sell our most talented player?

i don't get people like this. There were so many around when Kenwyne was breaking through ''oh just cash in on him, not good enough''.

Christ, you can see by Strachan's body language that even he doesnt want to be at Boro, why the hell would anyone want to go there ?

A bit of rumour I was told saturday i dont believe it but thought I would put it up. AP and Lallana to Celtic. 25% sell on to Bournemouth

Weston knows the family and says he's staying and so I dont take it seriously

Last time I spoke to his father on the Celtic issue he said neither Adam or his Agent were aware of any Cetic interest and certainly no approach. In fact he said it was absolute rubbish

If AL is tempted by the likes of Spurs & Fulham then he needs to look no further than Delph at Villa. Yes he may be on triple the wage he was on at Leeds, but he has had hardly any appearances this season. Guess it comes down to whether the player is happy to sit on the bench & play for the reserves for a Prem team, or continue with a club which is on the rise where he is one of the key players for another season. If Saints do not go up next season then there is no doubt he will leave.

A 3 year deal on even the low end of prem wages means you barely have to work again after football it you are prudent. Set yourself up for life, or make more appearances in the JPT, and another year's worth of visits to 3rd rate stadiums?

If the money comes knocking, he'll go. Simples.

The old Bridgey, Walcott and Bale (and even Surman) syndrome isn't it? And to be honest, anybody who slags them off for going is a ***t in my mind. Lets be honest if, no matter how happy you are where you work at the moment, if another employer way further up the food chain comes along waving contracts with 3 or 4 times more salary and working alongside the creme de la creme of your occupation, how many could/would say bog off I'm happy where I am ?

Outside of Matt Le Tissier (NC19 move on to another fred now ) things like that just don't happen now. Christ, even the Man U's, Arsenals and Liverpools of the world can't keep players when Real Madrid/Barcelona come visiting FFS :p

I really hope Adam stays and that we are so good next season that he sees staying on another year or two maybe fun and hopefully a financially improved contract sways the decision. But if he decides to go, at least we know the transfer fee will be used to buy a replacement, rather than just to keep the wolves at bay and keep the bank manager happy for another few months :(

Just bought a new house outside Wimborne which doesn't suggest he is on the move.

Cripes ... maybe Bomo's transfer embargo has been lifted and they are putting up a 5 million quid bid plus the old spiritual home (well loan :p) spin, not to mention savings on petrol, which should just about swing it

Delph was starting to break into the team and looked pretty good tbf, plus, all in all managers at prem teams like to preserve young talent and use them sparingly.

As for Lallana, he would probably get into the Fulham team if he keeps his form up.
