Nexstar Posted 26 April, 2010 Author Posted 26 April, 2010 Drove past this yesterday.......(although it was empty at the time!) Not Athletico Madrid is it? Vicente Calderon?
oxfordshire_saint Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 Not Athletico Madrid is it? Vicente Calderon? Nope!
Gorgiesaint Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 Standard Liege it is. Would agree with Tac-Tics, its Standard Liege's ground.
Gorgiesaint Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 Ibrox? Def not Ibrox. Its not a UK ground - look N Europe with a team in blue. Hmm - its not France, Belgium or Holland - and not Rostock in Germany so Denmark, Sweden or Norway?
The Majestic Channon Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 Def not Ibrox. Its not a UK ground - look N Europe with a team in blue. Hmm - its not France, Belgium or Holland - and not Rostock in Germany so Denmark, Sweden or Norway? Scandinavia yes, saints sold a player to this club .
Chin Strain Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 (edited) Who did we sell to Esbjerg? Edited 26 April, 2010 by Chin Strain
oxfordshire_saint Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 Is it Ebsjerg? (may have spelt that wrong!)
The Majestic Channon Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 Who did we sell to Esbjerg? Alexander östlund.well it was a free, Esbjerg the correct answer.
oxfordshire_saint Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 Somewhere inPoland? Legia Warsaw? Nope! A lot of you have probably visited the town/city, but probably not the stadium.
oxfordshire_saint Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 gissa clue...another one! Will probably give it away, but it's a romantic holiday destination.
Townhillsaintsfan Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 The San Siro's gone to ratsh i t.... I agree about it being Italy, I think it may be Venice's ground
Chin Strain Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 I agree about it being Italy, I think it may be Venice's ground Agreed...
oxfordshire_saint Posted 26 April, 2010 Posted 26 April, 2010 Indeed, it's the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo in Venice, dragged the missus there whilst on holiday a couple of years ago because I wanted to have a look at it. It's right at the other end of the island and we walked it. Had to buy an expensive dinner that night

Lets B Avenue Posted 27 April, 2010 Posted 27 April, 2010 Probably Aldershot. Although, the only time I've been there, it was thick fog and Norwich scored all their goals at the other end. We had to ask Bryan Gunn what was going on.
Townhillsaintsfan Posted 27 April, 2010 Posted 27 April, 2010 first one Braga 2nd one is the stadium in faro. so connection is euro 2004?
LVSaint Posted 27 April, 2010 Posted 27 April, 2010 2nd one is the stadium in faro. so connection is euro 2004? Yup!
oxfordshire_saint Posted 27 April, 2010 Posted 27 April, 2010 Clue, it's not the Dragao in Porto (which I'm guessing would be most people's first guess!)
Dog Posted 28 April, 2010 Posted 28 April, 2010 Here are 3 stadiums that I have been to on many occasions.
Gorgiesaint Posted 28 April, 2010 Posted 28 April, 2010 (edited) Clue, it's not the Dragao in Porto (which I'm guessing would be most people's first guess!) Believe thats the stadium in Leipzig which was re-built for the WC in 2006. Interestingly built inside the terraces for the old bowl style stadium that was there before. Gorgiesaint Posted 28 April, 2010 Posted 28 April, 2010 Dog, As the first one is the Ali Semi Yen in Istanbul - home of Galatasary, I'm guessing the other two are Besiktas & Fenerbahce. Have to say I'm jealous of you having been to theose grounds - some awesome atmospheres I bet.
Saint Posted 28 April, 2010 Posted 28 April, 2010 Here are 3 stadiums that I have been to on many occasions. Somewhere in Greece
The Majestic Channon Posted 28 April, 2010 Posted 28 April, 2010 Here are 3 stadiums that I have been to on many occasions. Somewhere in Greece AEK Athens old stadium?
oxfordshire_saint Posted 29 April, 2010 Posted 29 April, 2010 Believe thats the stadium in Leipzig which was re-built for the WC in 2006. Interestingly built inside the terraces for the old bowl style stadium that was there before. Correct. I watch Spain demolish Ukraine 4-0 in the World Cup there, very impressive the way they build it over the old one.
