dune Posted 6 April, 2010 Author Posted 6 April, 2010 Oldham corner... cleared Oldham punt it long cleared Oldham throw cleared Huddersfield go long 2-0 game over.
S-Clarke Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 2-0 huddersfield, how the **** they have won that is beyond me. oldham have dicked them without being able to finish. playoffs are all gone now, smallest chance just went off in the distance. we needed them to drop points tonight, if we were to have the games to catch them up.
doubleonothing Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 2-0 Huddersfield. It's over. Still. Up auto and maybe defend the JPT. On the positive. League 1 means we win more games than we have in many a year.
ludgershallsaint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 2-0 huddersfield, how the **** they have won that is beyond me. oldham have dicked them without being able to finish. playoffs are all gone now, smallest chance just went off in the distance. we needed them to drop points tonight, if we were to have the games to catch them up. No we didn't. Easiest game they had. Next three Brentford away, Walsall home, millwall home. Won't win more than 1.
Legod Third Coming Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 2-0 huddersfield, how the **** they have won that is beyond me. oldham have dicked them without being able to finish. playoffs are all gone now, smallest chance just went off in the distance. we needed them to drop points tonight, if we were to have the games to catch them up. Not really, today was a game they were always going to win. Let's see them beat Milwall and Swindon. And see how they get on at Exeter. Long shot for sure but they will drop six/seven points easily. It's just a question of whether we can go into the last game of the season within three points of them.
S-Clarke Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 No we didn't. Easiest game they had. Next three Brentford away, Walsall home, millwall home. Won't win more than 1. i really admire your optimism, but it really isn't going to happen now. we're 11 points off.
Legod Third Coming Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 i really admire your optimism, but it really isn't going to happen now. we're 11 points off. Eight - we have a game in hand.
S-Clarke Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Eight - we have a game in hand. 11 until we win that game don't count the points until they're on the board.
dune Posted 6 April, 2010 Author Posted 6 April, 2010 i really admire your optimism, but it really isn't going to happen now. we're 11 points off. this. time to stop dreaming.
StuRomseySaint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Eight - we have a game in hand. Oh... I forgot our game in hand was a guaranteed win. All we need now is for the play-off placed teams to have one of the worst finishes in history and us to string together our biggest winning streak in 125 years of trying.
CWD Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 hhhmmmm not good. still Hudders have a difficult run in so I wont give up just yet
Tom8558 Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 I think this has been said time and time again but until it is mathmatically not possible, I will still have hope.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 I think this has been said time and time again but until it is mathmatically not possible, I will still have hope.
Colinjb Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 I think this has been said time and time again but until it is mathmatically not possible, I will still have hope. Absolutely. If I had approached football with the mindset that the unlikely will never happen I would have given up on supporting Saints before I had even begun!
StuRomseySaint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 I think this has been said time and time again but until it is mathmatically not possible, I will laugh at all the people that still have hope.
cellone Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 That's your shout, but in all good heartedness. Jockey.
WATERSIDEIFASAINT Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 I can see Huddersfield losing to Brentford,Exeter & Millwall. So we then need a slip up against Colchester or Walsall at home. They are massive favourites at the moment but you never know!! If they beat Brentford away on saturday then I think it is all over. They were always likely to win tonight but we hoped for an unlikely slip up which didn't materialise
Kingsland Nick Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Any chance of Huddersfield going into administration?
ludgershallsaint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 If they beat Brentford away on saturday then I think it is all over. What he said.

StuRomseySaint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Haven't you got a bus to rip some Saints fan off with? Do you think that providing a service 25% less cost than Saints Travel Club is ripping people off?
StuRomseySaint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Do this and then judge http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/predictor/default.stm 6 Colchester 77pts 7 Huddersfield 76pts 8 Saints 72pts Champs Norwich R-Up Leeds ( on goal difference ) Relegated Gillingham Tranmere Wycombe Stockport
Amesbury Saint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Do this and then judge http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/predictor/default.stm did it and had us missing out by 1 point
bpsaint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Do this and then judge http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/predictor/default.stm Had us finishing in 7th behind Colchester on 76 points. Can't see us winning at Bristol Rovers or Yeovil.
Pilchards Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Do this and then judge http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/predictor/default.stm Just done it for the first time and I have us being above the relegation zone by 2 points.
Cabrone Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 So - we need Brentford to do us a real favour and win on Sat, then we need Millwall to go up there (fighting for an automatic place) and get a win, then we need Colchester to get a draw against them then we need to win all our games............. ...I won't bother to check out the ticket prices at Wembley just yet.
InvictaSaint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 I think this has been said time and time again but until it is mathmatically not possible, I will laugh at all the people that still have hope. Re-read that last line of yours.... And then try and understand what an unpleasant person you paint yourself as (though I am sure you are a modern nihilist who cares not what others think).

Hopkins Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Do this and then judge http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/predictor/default.stm Did it. Not that I take anything from this nor do I believe we will win every game (which is what I put us down to do) but had us going up on goal difference. Huddersfield to drop 2 points at Brentford Saturday, lose to Colchester and Millwall. I don't believe we will do it, but I do believe if we win all our games we will just scrape in.
Andyb1 Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 I think this has been said time and time again but until it is mathmatically not possible, I will still have hope. i´m starting to like u Glasgow, some optimism
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Still a few twists and turns left if we keep winning.
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 I think this has been said time and time again but until it is mathmatically not possible, I will still have hope.
alpine_saint Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 I share the disappointment at this result, but why does it mean we cant get into the playoffs ? I checked the table, and its still mathematically possible.
NickG Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 agree still lots of points to be dropped. they are away to Brentford, Stockport and Exeter, home to Walsall, Millwall, and Colchester
torsaint Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 Shock! Horror! Alpine Saint in vaguely positive message.
DT Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 Just done it for the first time and I have us being above the relegation zone by 2 points. I've just done it and have us outside of the play-offs by only two points, so still possible, for me. Can we injure some of our rivals players in off field incidents? Only joking PC Plod.
JibMcdo Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 6 Huddersfield 78pts 7 Southampton 74pts 8 Colchester 72pts ...and then 100 new threads of what if, what if, we should have beat Wycombe and Tranmere - Pardew out, we shouldn't have had 10 points knocked off - Lowe out.
Legod Third Coming Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 Do you think that providing a service 25% less cost than Saints Travel Club is ripping people off? Depends do I get a bog, and a stop off in Hersham?
Dig Dig Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 Did the prediction league for the first time. I had us drawing one more game and winning the rest and we miss out by 2 points with us on 76 and Huddersfield on 78. It would be very frustrated to miss out by such a small margin and a strange one to reflect on as 2 more points would see us in but if you were to add the 10 points back, we would miss out on auto promotion by 1 point! (obvioulsy all based on my predictions but everyone seems to be getting a similar end of seaon league).
Baird of the land Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 Think huddersfield will end up close or on 80 points. Think we have every chance of overhauling colchester but won't mean much except for pride.
dune Posted 7 April, 2010 Author Posted 7 April, 2010 Saints best hope is 74 points realistically. That means Huddersfield will have to pick up 6 points or less from 6 games. They'll pick up more than that.
Thedelldays Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 well..if last night did not end our season..I dont know what would
Dig Dig Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 well..if last night did not end our season..I dont know what would administration?!
Northant Saint Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 I used to live in Kent. xxx You are right about me not caring what you think though. :-) Do you have an inferiority complex?
