"box" problem for wall mounted TV

I will be moving house shortly and the new TV will be wall mounted.

Now due to the lay out of the room there isn't anywhere obvious to put a virgin/sky/freesat box.

I was going to have the DVD etc in a cupboard as I'll only need to be able to get at those every now and then however if I do the same with the virgin/sky box then I won't be able to use the remote. Which will obviously be a complete pain in the @rse.

Is there an easy solution?

Can you get a remote control detector (if they even exist) which I can attach to the bottom of the tv and then run a small wire to the box?

Any other suggestions? I'd really rather avoid organising the whole room around being able to install tv harware.

EDIT:

Ah this should do it...

If you have a sky HD box you will need to turn the sky eye on this is how you do it.

“Sky eye” For The technically-minded out there may be interested in the hidden "installer" menu on the Sky+ HD box, that can be accessed by pressing the 'Services' button, then 0 0 1 followed by 'Select'
