i've got 20 notes on Tiger @ 5/2 and a tenner on Lee W @ 8/1. Having had the national winner and Saints to win, I expect phil M to win now, after the skates have ruined what seemed a perfect weekend

Finally coverage here starts already so we can see all 18 holes with the leaders.

 

If you ain't seen it yet Adam Scott on 8th (I think) has to be probably THE most ridiculous golf shot in history and will be played again and again.

 

I was lucky enough to work with the media and walked the course with Lee when he won DWC Race to Dubai in November. He has had the same metronomic quality about him so far this week. Couple of scares yesterday but that look is in his eyes and he has Billy Foster who REALLY is a fantastic bloke (total nutter) to keep him focused.

 

Can he do it? Will Tiger roar again? Of will it be that meh lefty?

West_wood getting closer though, 2nd after a couple of 3rd finishes in majors. He just needs to look as Mickleson (and Harrington, for that matter) as a role model. For ages he was the nearly man and looked like he was going to have a career like Monty (best player to never win a major) but once the first comes, others will follow.

Second only to Woods fairway shot round the trees on the first day as shot of the tournament.

 

West-wood played well. Scoring first three rounds in the 60's (no one hs ever done 4 rounds in the 60's) then one under on the final day playing against an inform Mickleson and the home crowd in the final pairing. Like Mickleson told Lee after, he spent years finishng 2nd 3rd 4th etc before winning his first major which i'm sure Lee will do soon.
