bungle Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Looking forward to this on Thursday. Interesting to see how Tiger does. For the first time in some time he is not odds-on to win, currently around 9/2. I think that will shorten as some money goes on him Ernie Els is about 13/1 after winning 2 of last 3 on US Tour. Ian Poulter a tempting 35/1. Scotbet are paying e/w down to 6th - most others I can find are only offering 5.
keithd Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 My most favoritest tournament of the year. Love Augusta, so gorgeous this time of year, mad crazy greens, love it. Reckon the Tiger will do OK, probably a mid table finish, possibly top 20. As for who's gonna win it, lord knows!! Wide open. Porridge is about 16's iirc, W******d (s'up) is a cheeky punt at 24/1 on Paddy Power. He's won me a bob or two in the past and may tempt me once more...
saint_stevo Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Tim Clark e/w Steve Stricker e/w Mike Weir e/w Horses 4 courses
Yate Saint Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 I might go e/w on Ogilvy. He was 45/1 on William Hill.
Saint Keith Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 about time an english player won it, so will have a little bit on Casey, W******d, and Poulter, but not a lot, as they all ahve shcking records round augusta charl shwartzel could be in the shake up cannot see tiger winning it, im going to lay him on betfair, should be like printing money
Give it to Ron Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 Go for good putters and pretty straight drivers - Stuart Cink e/w for me or Jim Furyk.
notnowcato Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 Scatter gun preped.... Y.E. Yang to be top ROW 14s on Betfair, also a trade of 170 to win. Ryan Moore 1.83 to make the cut and another little trade price at 150 to win Goose to win at 26. Nick Watney e/w at 65 Anthony Kim at 4.2 for a Top 10
dubai_phil Posted 7 April, 2010 Posted 7 April, 2010 Wouldn't write the Big Easy off. If his new stance really has solved his putting problems of the last few years his move to US has chilled him out. Would love "our boy" Tiger to pull this one off, what a melt-down story that would make. Casey - is he back to his full swing yet? Did Poulter peak too soon this season? Will Kaymer bore the course into submission? If I could bet down here I'd go Tiger, Els or Lefty, with Els shading it. From our side, I think Lee will give it our best shot. 8 hours effing time difference to Augusta though and the effing Fox Sports (Adverts every 30 seconds) channel
bungle Posted 8 April, 2010 Author Posted 8 April, 2010 Kaymer 40/1 e/w Schwarzel 50/1 e/w Fred Couples 100/1 e/w Scotbet.com paying down to 6th place.

saint_stevo Posted 8 April, 2010 Posted 8 April, 2010 Day 1 and mostly day 2 mean JS at the masters. b*llocks. Yeah you cant win it in the first 2 days, but you can sure as hell lose it.
bungle Posted 9 April, 2010 Author Posted 9 April, 2010 Fred Couples 100/1 e/w Freddie now 16/1. Basically I have 25/1 to come in the top 6. Pretty happy with this at the moment. Will probably all go horribly wrong, mind!

chrisobee Posted 9 April, 2010 Posted 9 April, 2010 Lay it like Tiger!!!! Don't think Bungle is one to lay a bet TBH I would too though ! Nice safe profit, and then enjoy
keithd Posted 9 April, 2010 Posted 9 April, 2010 Relatively happy with my 3 horses, W/Wood and Poulter (taken at 18's and 35's respectively) and Casey - altho Casey from being in a very good position decided to drop 6 shots in the last 3 holes so think i can discard him from the shake up.
bungle Posted 9 April, 2010 Author Posted 9 April, 2010 Don't think Bungle is one to lay a bet TBH I would too though ! Nice safe profit, and then enjoy Not layed a bet before. If someone tells me what I need to do I will try to consider it later on tonight (damn election is getting in the way of my profit making!!).

If someone tells me what I need to do I will try to consider it later on tonight (damn election is getting in the way of my profit making!!). If you don't have one open up a Betfair account, I can refer you if you like and we can share the commission they give me - £25 in credit I think would have to check that. Currently you can "Lay" Fred at 25 (24/1) to win. Say you have £10 at 100/1 potential return is £1010. You could lay the £10 back at 25 which would potentially cost you £250 but you now have a free bet on Fred to win £750. You could also decide to up the stake of the lay and therfore guarantee a profit. (Hope I'm not stating the bleeding obvious). Edited 9 April, 2010 by notnowcato I always spell guarentee wrong...

Worth mentioning it's an ew bet, I'm not sure if you can lay place bets but personally I would not bother and hope if he doesn't win he places so it's a winner all round! Oh and with lay betting nothing is obvious if you have never done it !

dubai_phil Posted 9 April, 2010 Posted 9 April, 2010 $*#*cks Effing TV coverage down here STARTS at midnight each day, and they call it LIVE groan grumble moan and of course being offshore cannot get Beeb video streams, So that means a day of googling feeds tomorrow. Interesting Top of the Leaderboard. Will the lads feed off each other? Great to see Tom Watson have a godd day yesterday - he was magical down here with a top 10 finish, don't write him off from something similar. Not surprised Rory is fading, let's just say it was noticable that he's discovered beer & blondes
saintkiptanui Posted 9 April, 2010 Posted 9 April, 2010 but interesting leaderboard, tiger or the english, fashinating.

dubai_phil Posted 10 April, 2010 Posted 10 April, 2010 What an amazing 35 minutes of golf that was with Eagles going in all over the place. Well done Lee for hanging in there. Let's hope Lefty has used up all his magic & the Metronome is back tomorrow.
