Saintmike666 Posted 5 April, 2010 Posted 5 April, 2010 Huddersfield sit in 6th 8 points ahead of us. Both us and Huddersfield have a game in hand, one crucial game in hand each. The game in hand in both cases against Oldham! They really could be the make or break of Southampton's whole campaign! So, let me be the first to say this ahead of Huddersfield's game this Tuesday... C'mon Oldham!!!! This ain't over yet but IMHO it all hinges on little old Oldham! Thoughts?

No as I think both teams will beat Oldham I think Brentford Exeter are key for Huddersfield a win at either maybe bad news for us
St Landrew Posted 5 April, 2010 Posted 5 April, 2010 Oldham are indeed important. Their game against Huddersfield is certainly one we need for them to get a positive result. A draw will do fine. So tuesday night I'm a temporary Oldham supporter.
trousers Posted 5 April, 2010 Posted 5 April, 2010 I'm doing the catering for the Huddersfield team for the rest of the season. I will make sure they get some very old ham. Food poisoning could indeed be the key to our season.
saint_mears Posted 5 April, 2010 Posted 5 April, 2010 Oldham will be insignificant if we dont beat charlton and get something at bristol rovers.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 5 April, 2010 Posted 5 April, 2010 all our games are important, lose any off them and its over, charlton i think is our key game, play like we have today i think charlton may batter us but who knows with saints
RedWillie Posted 5 April, 2010 Posted 5 April, 2010 agree, we were poor today, lallana apart. Right side was shocking and puncheon again failed to impress Sent from my Nokia phone using Tapatalk.
samoakley Posted 5 April, 2010 Posted 5 April, 2010 if its at oldham hopefully they get a draw for us we have to win 7 out of 7 now and hope htfc drop points i feel its in our hands if we win all are games, htfc i think will lose a game and draw 2 maybe 3 games which gives us the chance to get 6th and colchester will have the same sort of form.
popyto Posted 5 April, 2010 Posted 5 April, 2010 sadly I think we will finish around 4 points behind huddersfield which I really dont think would be anything to be ashamed of this season. Considering I dont think it was till around game 12 we finally managed to get into positive points and aquiring 58 points in 27 games is nothing to be scoffed at. I recall posters saying araound that time we would need to average around 2 points a game after are first 10 games to make playoffs its seems that that will not even be enough this season.

Some Charlton fans seem to think they've managed results despite their teams performances. So far we've drawn and beaten them this season we're a stronger team now so who knows. We will have to play better than today though.
saintds Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Just checked HTFC's home (league 1) form in 2010 which is as follows: W 0 - D 5 - L 1 Oldham's away form is, admittedly, awful other than a win at Stockport in mid-March, but it's not impossible that Oldham could get something from this game. Draw anyone?

woodfc Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Nope that's not right Yes it is ... W - 0, D -5, L - 1. Whereas Oldhams recent away form is ... W - 2, D - 1, L - 3. Lets hope!
Legod Third Coming Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Yes it is ... W - 0, D -5, L - 1. Whereas Oldhams recent away form is ... W - 2, D - 1, L - 3. Lets hope! It's not, Huddersfield won at home on 16 Jan. 2-1.
Legod Third Coming Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 And the teams Huddersfield have played at home this year include: Charlton, Norwich, Leeds, West Brom, Swindon and Bristol... to be fair.
woodfc Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 Nope that's not right It's not, Huddersfield won at home on 16 Jan. 2-1. And since then its been W-0. D-5, L-1.
Legod Third Coming Posted 6 April, 2010 Posted 6 April, 2010 And since then its been W-0. D-5, L-1. Aye, but draws against Swindon, Leeds, Bristol... should not convince us that Oldham can turn them over. Although in the words of Kevin Keegan I would love it just love it....

I agree, they're certainly not setting the world on fire, with 2 of their last 4 home games against Colchester and Millwall, lets just hope they slip up tonight.
