If we don't win this then Pardew will deserve all the criticism that comes his way.

 

Yep, but the damage was done in the first 90 seconds when they could have scored two, that is as much about the concentration and focus of the two central defenders as anything else. No manager can expect both supposed experienced CB's to leave players unmarked as we did.

 

Anyway Lallana sorts that out nicely

Despite being regarded as one of the most negative posters on this site, NEVER did I for one moment really doubt we would win today.

 

Frankly, this is an appaling show.

 

My judgement is slightly clouded by a few pints down the pub but I think I agree with you.

 

I was expecting us to win this game easily but it is still early days

i do like to rant when we do badly/underperform.....doesnt mean I like us doing badly.

 

If we win every game i'd be really happy :D

games are 90 minutes long.

 

Let's call the Samaritans at the end. Never in the history of football has a manager been replaced during a game

saying goal of the season on sky sports news i think... had it muted, turned up the volume and thats what i caught? sounded good on saints player but goal of the season?

Tranmere - 2nd half performance

Stockport - 2nd half performance

Orient - will prove to be another example of taking things too easy in the 1st and waking up to the real challenges that face us.

 

Hopefully it won't happen so much next season. COYR lets do them 3-1!

Perhaps AP needs to tell the players that games are 90mins long with a first half once-in-a-while...

Is anyone at the game able to give me an idea if it's as bad as it sounds?

Yup, and also that they start when the ref blows his whistle...

 

Still, thinking back a few years, I'd have to say I am happier with this current trait of conceding in the first few minutes than the horrid run we had when we kept conceding winners in the last few minutes...

 

(Would PREFER neither, but at least when it's an early goal we can do something about it)

Didn't you read the forum rules? You're only allowed to analyse games if

1) You listen to Saints Player

2) You live abroad

 

Everyone else, including the mods seems to be asleep today

I expect a different Saints team in terms of mentality to appear for the 2nd half.

 

If not, I think I might re-evaluate my intention of giving AP until Xmas.

 

That first half was simply not good enough, what ever background of -10pts and no-pre-season there is.

I don't expect Swindon fans believe that they are going to be winning every match comfortably....... maybe this is the mental attitude which is causing Leeds recent slump (other than today's result).
