Why was Barnard not on earlier???

Why wasn't he on from the start? Why put the league's 2nd highest scorer on the bench? L&B up front should be the norm, and with Connolly on the bench. Still at least we have fought back.

I did indeed and like everybody else with any sanity I would swop it in a heartbeat for winning something that all the teams entered were bothered about.

Take whatever you can get. You will enjoy it more.

I think you will find that you Sir are the tosser.

I can have my view, it may not be same as yours but it is mine.

He was nominated for a victory in a trophy that is an irrelevance.

no he wasnt, he was nominated because of wins against Leeds, the demolition of Huddersfield and the wins v Hartlepool and MK Dons and yes the cup as well. Not a bad month really!

James, Gillet, Puncheon in the middle, no alternatives, my arse. Plenty of alternatives, none of them were particularly attractive, fact is Spiderman is a big loss. AP needs to sort this area out for next term, we need some proper alternatives in the centre of midfield.

i think the problem will resolve itself, Morgan won't be here next season anyway,

or so I think

Any trophy is something to be bothered about.

It was hardly the most prestigous competition granted, but what a day. I wouldn't swap it for anything.

If our descent from the premier league should have taught us anything, be grateful for what you have! We have no devine right to anything.

Lets not become another Leeds, so arrogant that everyone hates us.

I'll give you that, reckon he'll do so well in April?

We'd better hope he is, if not then we will be looking for 2 good CM replacements. But, like you I wouldn't be surprised, Spiderman owes AP nothing, he is one of the few that is not a Pardew man.

Couldn't beat Swindon, can't beat Brighton - if only we could play northern bastards every week - another year in this div is what we need and what we've got - keep the faith - the 5 year plan is still on track

I genuinely mean this.

Please tell me what your analysis of the situation is based on?

I thought Swindon were northern bastards ;) Even for me here they're still up north.

crap that's it league 1 next season......

Tonight hasn't changed that, it has been a fact for several weeks. Doesn't excuse **** performance and wrong team selection/formation. Even though play-offs were gone long ago, team should be going all out to win, it helps to set us up next season. The winning mentality and all that. Pshycolgically we need to end the season on a real high, with a run of good wins.

Oh well .... maybe now we wont have anyone saying if we/they/maybe/only/mathmatically ... we can still make the play offs.

We need to be so much better next season, we're still some way off yet!

Considering Colchester's current form 78 will be enough in the final analysis.

We're not that far away from being the finished article for next season. Pards will strengthen further in the summer - and we will be one - if not the - hardest team to beat in this division. Bookies will (rightfully) make us favourites to go up automatically...but we have to learn to go to all those grounds like Brighton's tonight & win. Not draw - but win. We still need to aquire that winning mentality & get tough - and that's something only Pards can instill really.

8 points from 7th, 11 points from 6th. Bristol Rovers and MK Dons catchable but really have to hope now that Huddersfield and Colchester slip up badly for us to reach the play offs.

I keep on telling myself that we have left it too late but as long as it stays mathematically possible I keep on hoping, even if it is becoming more feint as each game ticks by. :(
