saint lard Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 Rotherham have already Knocked out a couple of fairly decent sides, one of which is Wolves, who currently sit top of the CCC. Rotherham 1-1 Saints, after 90 min. Saints lose 2-1 in extra time.
Scudamore Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 rotherham 3 saints 0 You really are a bundle of laughs aren't you?
BotleySaint Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 Optimism sweeps through the thread. 3-0 Saints
St Marco Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 i don't think even we can lose this one, they are 3rd to bottom in league 2 for christ sake. If we lose this game then i was wrong things can get worse. However i think were win 0-4 COYR
s0108787 Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 I can see the boys getting a confidence boosting 2-0 win.
saint-crinny Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 They are only 3rd bottom because of a points deduction at the start of the season. If they had started on a level playing field they would be play-offs. I think we could get muscled out of it, but hopefully ability going forward (basically, Lallana) can show through.
Window Cleaner Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 2-0 for Saints. 2 by John (which means he'll not play)
beavis17 Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 1-1 aet Saints lose 5-4 on pens saints to score 4 penalties!?
Guest Hacienda Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 Me to cover a late class instead of going.
Professor Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 Saints to win by at least 2 clear goals, probably with a clean sheet.
ottery st mary Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 Saints 4-1 as they march to the final.
Sheff Saint Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 We'll lose by a couple. Sorry, don't mean to be gloomy. Anyway, i'm always wrong so that's ok!
DT Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 I think this will be yet another game where grit and strength win out over youthful enthusiasm and general defensive frailties. 2-1 to them, or even 3-1. sorry.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 Can't see us getting passed this lost. We'll lose 2/3-1
hutch Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 1-1 after 90 3-1 Saints AET But I'm not daft enough to put money on it!
RoswellSaint Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 3-1 Saints without extra time. I can dream, can't I?
wiltshiresaint Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 Play them off the park, but win 1-0 because we don't have a striker in form
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 3-2 win from 2-0 down. Go Saints!
um pahars Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 I think we'll concede, but we will score more than them. 2-1 or 3-2 morale boosting victory. (If we lose, I'll be saying it doesn't mean anything as it's Mickey Mouse and it will leave us to concentrate on the league!!!).
trousers Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 1-1 aet Saints lose 5-4 on pens 1-1 Rotherham win on penalties, I fear. It's true what they say about "great minds..." then! (no offence) And just to rub badger fur in the ointment....I predict Rotherham to be drawn at home to Pompey in the next round.....

Ponty Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 I think we'll be the best team they've beaten this season.
trousers Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 We don't even warrant a mention on the main list of games on the BBC Carling Cup page....that's how low we've come.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/league_cup/default.stm

Nice to see James getting a go in midfield, he hasn't been great this season but then he's not a full back. I still think it's a silly decision to play Killer, why not give him 3 more days rest and just drop Wotton back into CB and play James holding?

Tac-tics Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 2 up front tonight if JP'S comments are anything to go by

James in his true position will be a true test for the lad. I personally would see Thomson/White in place of BWP but if he scores a couple, all will be forgiven until tomorrow.
