he i right about preparing for what will happen down the road....

 

ffs, we are an island nation, with over 95% of our trade done on via the sea..yet we have (now) a small navy which is the smallest of the 3 services..

 

if we are to downsize further (which looks likely)..then we will probably look at "just defending" our shores and our dependancies..and not to look to wage war on foreign regimes..

 

for that (imo, and it is biased) the navy should take centre stage
