When they can't f*cking do something as simple as hold the stick up straight so they end up stroking my fookin head for 90 minutes with the thing.

I had some bird in front of me who kept holding her flag at a 45 degree angle and kept ****ing well catching me in the face... So ****ing annoying...

Got to london 4pm saturday then we decided to have a swift one in leicester square before going to our hotel and checking in, went to the slug and lettuce and the porcupine then onto the roundhouse in covent garden , had a cracking night , expected to bump into a few more saints than we did though and saw no sign of any skates, we finally checked into our hotel at 2 am ! actually went to siverspoons after all ( i slagged the idea off on here) and the less said about that place the better, leicester square again after via trying the globe which was shut.

The Missus and I went up with 2 friends, parked at Denham Station and was in the Green Man just after 09:30. We were there before and after the game and didn't wait any longer than a few minutes to get served at any time.

Would like to offer thanks to a couple of SWF members and that because of their posts on here helped in our planning to make the day a special one along with the team on the pitch.

Morph - For the original suggestion of parking at Denham, Very quick and easy route in and out of Wembley.

StuRomseySaint - For the suggestion and description of The Green Man (Great Pub, Great Atmosphere, Decent BBQ and above all else, decently priced beer that was served cold and in good time too even despite the numbers of us there.

Went to the Bear before and after the game. We only ended up here because we had to change Tube at Baker Street from the Jubilee to Bakerloo but it was Ok. Would have preferred Green Man but we were the 'wrong' aside of Wembley. Club Wembley was poor but beer was ok - just - and £4 a pint where I was expecting £5. SWT back to Salisbury awful - late leaving and 2 hours via West London. Great day.

poured a bucket of water and milk over sleeping mate.

Was that two separate buckets - one milk and one water? Or water and milk combined into one bucket?

JJ Moons before and after game. Then hotel bar in covent garden. Then went to Leicester Square to a few bars and casino. Stumbled back into hotel, poured a bucket of water and milk over sleeping mate then drove back this morning.

Thankfully i never bumped into you Chavs at the hotel. Did you have the buffet breakfast? I thought it was really good - eat as much as you want so had about 10 rashers of bacon, 3 sausages, scrambled egg, beans, followed by cereal, grapefruit and orange segments, and washed down with tea and orange juice. Good value I thought.:)

I would be heavily annoyed if I had been on that coach and you had made £200 profit.

You could have put the price down on peoples coach fares or supplied beer for the coach rather keeping the money yourself.

Hiring a coach and running it is hardly brain science, not really much effort really, just send out one email, get people to post you the money or bank trasnfer, then one big email to everyone confirming the time of leaving.

I went up on Stu's first coach, and don't begrudge him the extra three quid, fair play for him getting off his arse and organising it.

Got to Green man about 11.30, great pub, served pretty quick even though it was rammed and was a reasonable price for drinks.

Wnet back there after the game and carried on the drinking a nd a sing-song.

Went to Baker Street, annoying the pubs were closed but found small pub round the corner, which again was full of Saints fans. £4 a pint though!!

Then went to Trafalgar Square and Soho, where every corner we turned there Saints fans!

Fair play to the tourists and locals who put up with our singing everywhere we went, train, bus, underground, some people even joined and clapped.

Full respect to the bouncers at JJ Moons for not being jobsworths and letting us build beer towers (empties) untill they fell!

ah that was you was it? :D

lolz

yep, decent bunch in moons. had a bucket at the door after the game collecting for childrens cancer. just said "stick a quid in the bucket for the kids lads if you want", nothing heavy or do it or you wont get in attitude, all nice and friendly like. catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

i'll be going there again for the play off final thats for sure :)

And it didn't work out £3 anyway because 2 seats were empty. There was a MASSIVE profit of £60 on the first coach, for the record. And as you know, I spent alot of the time rounding ******ed up people to go on the coaches.

I think everyone enjoyed the day though.... my fookin liver didn't! :-(

Was it not you in the Green Man having an argument with some bird with a big foam SFC finger?

Yep that was us who made the original one in by the front windows. Bouncers were just laughing even when the tower fell. Oh, and I put some money in your bucket!

(Stu- Definitely wouldn't have been me in Green Man)

It was amusing, it was about 6pm, our coach was loading up ready to go when we saw this girl giving her boyfriend one almighty b*llocking waving a foam hand in his face... I see the bloke around all the time and I am sure he posts on here... just can't remember his name...

t'was funny though.

The best thing about this thread is that I am planning what I would do differently / the same the next time we go to Wembley and it doesn't feel stupidly unrealistic to do so.

Stayed at a mates house in the Wembley area, just by Stonebridge Park station, was only about a 10 minute walk to the Green Man Pub so we checked this out the Saturday too. Got in there about 5pm on the Saturday.... stayed in there until evicted for the night, returned the Sunday...WOW... BOOM... what a difference...yet the amount of time waiting for a beer was actually THE SAME as the night before...fair play to the staff in that place.... Only thing I would do different next time is sleep between Saturday and Sunday...the 40 consecutive hours session was taking its toll come 7.30pm when I was boarding the Greyhound coach service home.... are those seats really that comfortable or was I just happy to be resting!!!!! ALL GOOD!!! COME ON THE PLAY OFFS!!!!!!
