Scummer Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 They seem to have won their tribunal over the Tevez affair, West Ham have to pay them £30M. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7630777.stm
stevegrant Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 The compensation figure hasn't actually been confirmed anywhere, and it'll be a looooong time before Sheffield United get their hands on any money as you can guarantee there will be appeals left, right and centre from West Ham. I personally think any compensation should come jointly from West Ham (the offending party) and the Premier League (the numpties who didn't have the balls to enforce a proper punishment in the first place).

Its not the 1st time a team from smoke has got away with it:rolleyes: you could put your house on it if it had been Boro, saints, Pompey hoof, and the likes, A Loss of league statues and find would of been the out come.

We lost our smurf one already.

Both clubs signed upto no appeals. The Football Association's rule K5c states that by signing up to arbitration, "the parties shall be deemed to have waived irrevocably any right to appeal, review or any recourse to a court of law". This one could get quite interesting and i completely agree with the bit about the premier league. It was handled badly from day one.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 The Hammers will not get off lightly for one reason and one reason alone . . . . . . . Teflon Redcrapp doesn't work for them!
stevegrant Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 Both clubs signed upto no appeals. So did Leeds...
Gemmel Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 So did Leeds... I take it back .... they have found a loop hole and are appealling to the court of arbitration for sport (?????????????????)
BotleySaint Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 West ham unable to appeal. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7637499.stm Hillarious!
equalizer Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 Hope they get each other in the cup this season!!
CabbageFace Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7637184.stm
equalizer Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7637184.stm Lol! Lets face it they are guilty as a puppy sitting next to a pile of ****! I ******* hate West Ham, and their gobby knuckle dragging supporters. Hope it costs them millions!
Iowsaintsfan Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 they can pay **** loads for dyer now then!
BotleySaint Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 Everyone at the time knew the FA had let them off too lightly and that it was an "inside job" not to deduct them points. I am delighted now to see some kind of justice being done... at least, hopefully it will be!
OLYMPIC Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 One of the papers said that they have been advised to look at appealing through a british court as they would stand more of a chance. Also Sheffield utd players are looking to sue for lose of earnings due to taking a pay cut when relegated.
Saint in Paradise Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 West Ham claim that one man doesn't make enough difference so why not deduct any points they won in games that Tevez scored in ?
Junction 9 Posted 26 September, 2008 Posted 26 September, 2008 30 Million and then getting Dyer. an up and down sort of week for Sheff utd.
