Fergie Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 We all like to think were Alan Pardew from time to time...so if it was up to you, who would be your starting line-up? mine would be: ------------------------------Davis-------------------------- --Harding----------Fonte----------Jaidi--------Mills---------- --Papa/Antonio----Hammond------Schneiderlin-----Lallana------ ----------------Rickie----------Papa/Connolly----------------- Would love to see Dave Connolly start but dont think he'll play more than a substitute role tomorrow. Think it will be Antonio down the right, but he hasn't played in a while so could be rusty! Cant wait for kick-off, gonna be an awesome atmosphere
Joesaint Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Yea I'd like Papa on the right on Connolly as a striker. If Lallana needs to come off is Holmes OK as I thought he did pretty well when he was getting games. Think Jaidi may not be playing if he is not then Perry as he does put in the effort and does OK.
Arizona Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Davis Gillett - Jaidi - Fonte - Harding Antonio - Hammond - Schneiderlin - Lallana Lambert - Waigo
LGTL Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Davis Harding - Jaidi - Fonte - Mills Antonio - Hammond - Schneiderlin - Lallana Lambert - Waigo
krissyboy31 Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Davis Gillett - Jaidi - Fonte - Harding Antonio - Hammond - Schneiderlin - Lallana Lambert - Waigo If AP was going to play Gillett RB, he would have given it a try out on Tuesday IMO. He'll either play James there or Harding with Mills LB like the last 2 games. Presuming Antonio's fit then we'll probably play the front 6 as above. If not, Papa on the right and Connolly up top.
Appy Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Davis James Jaidi Fonte Harding Antonio Hammond Schneiderlin Lallana Lambert Waigo
lambertsrightleg Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Davis Harding - Jaidi - Fonte - Mills Antonio - Hammond - Schneiderlin - Lallana Lambert - Waigo that one. maybe james rb and harding lb. bench looks fairly weak though: bilko james/mills perry wotton gillett oxlade-chamberlin connolly
John Boy Saint Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Whoever plays I just hope they seize the opportunity with both hands, and win the damn thing, especially as Carlisle are going to be really up for this.
doddisalegend Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 If Antonio is not avalible how about Mclaggon on the flank? he's been doing ok in the reserves is fast and has had a little first team experince from last season. As for Connolly or Wagio up front I'd go for Connolly to start up front and bring Wagio on later Papa seems to do best as a sub. Oh and no Gillet at RB Harding is a better option than Gillet IMO.
Ampersound Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Davis James - Jaidi - Fonte - Harding Oxlade-Chamberlain - Hammond - Schneiderlin - Lallana Lambert - Papa
Arizona Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Gillett at RB would just be my selection. I reckon Pardew will play Harding, Mills at LB and five in midfield with Waigo on the right and Wotton in for Antonio.
saintkiptanui Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Whoever plays I just hope they seize the opportunity with both hands, and win the damn thing, especially as Carlisle are going to be really up for this. Don't see why Carlisle will be more up for it than us?? Its there 5th appearance in this final and we've got more than double the fans, I think our boys will be more up for it than them.
doddisalegend Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Davis James - Jaidi - Fonte - Harding Oxlade-Chamberlain - Hammond - Schneiderlin - Lallana Lambert - Papa Lol I looked at that and thought you had twevle players with a five man mid field until I looked more closely. I'm not sure I'd play a 16 year old in a match of this importance to be honest.
ST Randy Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 that one. maybe james rb and harding lb. bench looks fairly weak though: bilko james/mills perry wotton gillett oxlade-chamberlin connolly I may be wrong but I think there is only 5 subs for the JPT
georgeismyname Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 -------------------------Davis---------------------------- James-------------Fonte--------Jaidi---------------Harding Lallana---------Hammond------Schneiderlin----------Holmes -------------------Waigo----------Lambert----------------- Subs: Bialkowski, Perry, Wotton, Mills, Antonio, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Connolly.
Saint_lambden Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 -------------------------------------Davis--------------------------------------------- --James------------------------Fonte----------Jaidi-----------------------Harding---- --Antonio------------------Hammond--------Schneiderlin--------------Lallana--------- ---------------------------Waigo--------------Lambert------------------------------ Subs: Bart, Perry , Oxo-cube, Mills/Holmes, Connolly. 3-1 win
krissyboy31 Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 -------------------------------------Davis--------------------------------------------- --James------------------------Fonte----------Jaidi-----------------------Harding---- --Antonio------------------Hammond--------Schneiderlin--------------Lallana--------- ---------------------------Waigo--------------Lambert------------------------------ Subs: Bart, Perry , Oxo-cube, Mills/Holmes, Connolly. 3-1 win This is what I think. If O/C is in the bench, then I suspect that it will be Mills rather than Holmes. If he is not, we may go for Gillett and Holmes.
L1Minus10 Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 -----------Lambert------------Waigo Mills-----Schneiderlin--------Hammond-------Lallana Harding----Fonte--------------Jaidi---------Wotton --------------------Davis If Antonio is fit then -----------Lambert------------Waigo Lallana-----Schneiderlin--------Hammond-------Antonio Mills----Fonte--------------Jaidi---------Harding --------------------Davis
krissyboy31 Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 The echo are suggesting back to 4-5-1 Adam Leitch was guessing this, during the web-cast because Carlisle will be playing 4-5-1 and we may match up! Possible but I doubt it myself.
SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 I think it will be this: Davis James Fonte Jaidi Harding Hammond Schneiderlin Waigo Lallana Connolly Lambert Subs: Bart, Mills, Perry, Gillett/Wotton, Antonio/Oxlade-Chamberlain/Holmes There is the possibility that he will only play one of Mills, Gillett and Wotton as subs and include two of the wingers in order to have more impact substitutes available.
