70's Mike Posted 25 March, 2010 Posted 25 March, 2010 rain for Sunday. Pitch cut up badly at Wembley then. Can we cope?
Matthew Le God Posted 25 March, 2010 Posted 25 March, 2010 Pitches are only cut up at kick off if there have been games on it. Wembley was re-turfed at the beginning of the month and hasn't been used since.
saintmonkey1979 Posted 25 March, 2010 Posted 25 March, 2010 I thought it had been re-laid since the League Cup final because of the cutting up. Should be ok I would've thought.

dune Posted 25 March, 2010 Posted 25 March, 2010 I'm more concerned at getting rained on between pubs.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 25 March, 2010 Posted 25 March, 2010 I seem to remember Southend away, absolutely torrential rain, flood outside the ground, badly cut up and slightly waterlogged pitch... We won 3-1! No excuses on Sunday.

Iowsaintsfan Posted 25 March, 2010 Posted 25 March, 2010 Rubbish im a few rows from the front should have put a bigger roof on it instead of a bloody silly arch!

Tokyo-Saint Posted 25 March, 2010 Posted 25 March, 2010 Leicester fan at work keeps telling me that their under 13 girls team are playing in their cup final at 11:30 on Sunday. Hope they don't cut up the pitch too badly.
alehouseboys Posted 25 March, 2010 Posted 25 March, 2010 Not too bad if this is anything to go on (gonna hammer down in Southampton!)... http://weather.virginmedia.com/regional.php?region=South+East&town=London Cup Final weekend '76 was probably the worst of the whole scorching summer that year, I can't remember it being so bad at Wembley a few weeks later for the Charity Shield tho'. League Cup Final '79, snowed all week, ZDS and Cardiff p*ssed it down most of the day...even rained the day Totton went to Wembley! Bring on Sunday.

Shroppie Posted 26 March, 2010 Posted 26 March, 2010 Forecast is getting better. Now improved to light rain, and looks like if may stay further south. Good news.
