That last one by Harlepool's Austin looked unstoppable.

I loved Lambert's, the nonchalance power and improbable accuracy from distance took me back a few years :p

That's true. I didn't bother to mention it because... well it's Lambert. You almost expect him to do something special now. I shouldn't be so casual about it, I suppose.

I have to agree, actually reminded me of MLT just a little bit.

As it fell to him and he turned I thought he was taking too long. I wanted him to take it in on goal. Then he just slammed it bottom corner, which is probably why he's the best player in league 1 and I'm a right back in a crap sunday league.

If that second chance had been a foot higher it would have been goal of the season.

Two great goals, loved Lambert's goal and the confidence he had to hit it first time, everything he touches seems to turn to gold at the moment.

Hartlepool's second was a real beauty, think that's the first time at St Mary's I've ever seen the home fans applaud an opposition goal.

Its funny you should mention that.. I was clapping and suddenly realised I was clapping for an away goal. I looked about (block 10) and the entire Chapel end was clapping too.

I clapped. You have to appreciate that kind of class whoever scores it.

Might not have clapped if a skate scored it though, admittedly. ;)

If you're talking about the chance late on in the 2nd half, yes absolutely true. It reminded me of a particular volley against Newcastle in the mid 90's.
