Obviously if the ball bounces off spidermans backside to get winner on sun that may be the goal that this season is remembered by

But is Rickie's 30/40+ yarder ( DM started at 30 & kept increasing the distance by next week Rickie will have scored from KD's box ) yesterday the best this season or is another goal better

DC v Norwich

WT v Ipswich

AL has a few contenders

RL has lots of contenders

Connolly's v Norwich was class

Thomas v Ipsiwch was an incredible strike

Lambert v MK was class too.

I really cant seperate them.......when was the last time we scored so many bloody good goals in one season ?

I suppose we have to go back to MLT's prime when he used to have his own competition going !

It ain't over yet. I have a feeling Morgan could well end up winning ;)

Same here his first ever pro goal will be a screamer and the winner at Wembley, sometimes dreams do come true.

He scored a very similar one at Stoke as well.

Except the one at Stoke was better, flicking it over a defenders head before volleying it from the corner of the 18 yard box.

Lallana's against Hartlepool for me. That was class.

Whenever i watch highlights of lower league football i always see loads of goals where someones had a crack from 30 yards and it's gone in. Seems to happen a lot. What they don't show is how many times they've tried it and it's left the stadium.

we have a better chance of reaching the play offs than Morgan getting the winner next Sunday.

Think i might put a few quid on that....be fantastic if it happens :)

I've been making a video of goals of the season and was going to post it up on Youtube last week, glad I waited as I can add that one to the collection and I think I might just hold back until the end of the season.

Not suggesting it goes down as goal of the season, but I love watching Connolly's goal up at Oldham, his first for us I believe. Such a good finish, completely fooled the keeper with his shaping to shoot across goal then going the other way.

Where do you get your clips from?

...it would be a nice touch, his FIRST goal is well overdue, even if he does brighten up the midfield. But then again, Wembley does that sort of things in Cup Finals (even the JPT) I suppose.

I realized that Stern John 3rd against Hull won the goal of the season in 07/08. Does anyone know the results for previous seasons???

Oh, yes. I nearly forget that. Do you know who won the goal of the season in the past decade?

Last season's was Saganowski's volley at home to PNE.

John's volley agaisnt Stoke won the season before.

Chris Baird's thunderbolt at home to Cardiff beat off a lot of stiff competition the season before.

Beyond this I'm not sure, but I think...

The year before was Theo at home to Luton.

Relegation from the Prem might have been Anders at home to Blackburn.

UEFA Cup season was definitely Delap's overhead at home to Spuds.

Cup final season, Beattie had a few. At Newcastle, Boro and at home to WBA stick in my mind. Anders against Spuds in the cup may have won it.

Year before, I think has to be John Arne Riise's header at home to Liverpool.

P.S. Sorry Rickie, but Wayne Thomas get's my vote. Yesterday was a close second, followed by DC against Norwich, then Harding against Tranmere.

Dan Harding's first time bullet against Tranmere must NOT be overlooked.

Amazing Goal my favorite of the season. Although Thomas's goal against Ipswich was special. Probably for most dramatic effect though it has to be Papa's equalizer in injury time VS Norwich in the JPT OK not the best goal in the world but what an ending to a match.

Wayne Thomas's goal for me every time, purely because he is a CB compared to the likes of Rickie Lambert who is a striker and regularly scored 40 yard screamers for Brizzle! Besides, how much fun is it shouting SHOOOOOT! at WT every time he gets near the ball? :D

I'm surprised to see I'm not the only one that is expecting a magical goal from Spiderman in the JPT Final ... it will be a curving beauty destined for the top corner from a mile out.

That or Pulis will come on and score a wonderful solo effort taking on all 11 men a few times before smashing it past their keeper?

video package of Connolly's, Lallanas, Lambert, Antonio and Waigo's goals

Can you please tell me how to download videos from the Saints Player? I am a user of Saints Player but not enjoyed as much as the Saints TV era as I could not download those terrific moments.

Shooooooooooooooooooot!!! Thomas's as it was so unexpected. We've come to expect good goals from Lambert.

I also thought Antonio's goal in the first leg at MK Dons was well taken, and important too, as it set us up for a less nervy second leg at home.
